The Wellbeing Foundation Africa’s #TEACHCLEAN Initiative, in collaboration with the @DettolNigeria Hygiene Quest Program, is dedicated to educating healthcare workers, mothers, and facility cleaners on the critical importance of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC).
Infections account for approximately 10-15% of deaths among pregnant women, newly delivered mothers, and newborns. Hospital Acquired Infections (#HAIs) are significant contributors to these alarming statistics.
Through the #TEACHCLEAN program, our #WBFA midwives and nurses provide essential training to those responsible for maintaining hygiene in healthcare settings.
They focus on teaching safe and effective hygiene practices to the frontline workers who provide first-hand care to mothers and their babies. By empowering these caregivers with the knowledge and skills needed for proper infection control, we strive to reduce the incidence of infections and improve health outcomes for both mothers and their newborns.
