@yenomltd Because the trains run every few minutes. Because it might take me slightly longer to get to the station, wait for the lift etc. And because #TUAG (turn up and go) is a legal right. I book for longer journeys, but not for local ones.
. @SW_Help How are wheelchair users supposed to find the guard for assistance at unstaffed stations, for a regular 15 mins journey via #TUAG. With 4 types of trains currently in use, guard could be almost anywhere. #DisabledByTheRailway

No, we’ve to arrange in advance (even if it’s a trip we take daily) & we’ve2pray2the powers that be that the person in charge of helping us isn’t ill that day.

Coming home late on train on my own today. (23:40). Decided to book assistance as I’m travelling alone. Got to London Waterloo, no staff, no passenger assistance. As always saved by the guard (who is lovely) but blooming heck how do we find staff? #TUAG #DisabledByTheRailway
