🇨🇦🇺🇦 Fortunately, not every leader in this world is like Donald Trump. Far from it.
Friends, meet Mark Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada. A man who has proven himself to be a genuine and unwavering friend of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
Since 2022, Canada has provided Ukraine with nearly $22 BILLION in assistance, including more than $12 BILLION in direct financial support.
And Prime Minister Carney continues to demonstrate that Canada's commitment to Ukraine is not just a collection of beautiful speeches.
Recently, he announced another $900 MILLION in military assistance, including $475 million for ammunition, nearly $400 million for 35 Canadian-made armored vehicles, and $50 million for critical technologies and engineering equipment.
But that's not all. Carney extended Canada's military training mission for Ukrainian soldiers until 2029. Together with President Zelensky, he announced plans for joint drone production.
Canada also committed an additional $1.18 BILLION to the PURL initiative and $200 MILLION toward Ukraine's reconstruction. His government imposed sanctions on eight individuals involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children.
And on Ukraine's Independence Day, Mark Carney personally traveled to Kyiv to stand alongside the Ukrainian people.
His message was clear: "Canada will stand with Ukraine throughout this terrible war, and when peace comes, we will stand with Ukraine afterward."
These are not empty promises. These are billions of dollars in assistance. Armored vehicles. Ammunition. Drones. Military training. Economic support. Real actions that help Ukraine defend its independence and save lives.
At a time when some world leaders are weakening sanctions against Russia and putting their own political interests ahead of Ukraine's survival, Canada continues to demonstrate what genuine solidarity looks like.
This is what leadership should look like. Not endless promises. Not political theater. Not flattering dictators. But courage, responsibility, humanity, and action.
Prime Minister Carney, thank you for standing with Ukraine. And thank you to the wonderful people of Canada, whose generosity, compassion, and unwavering support mean more to Ukrainians than words can express.

Since you clearly don't want them to have USD, here are some ways you can cut off the USD supply from tourists to us Maldivians and resort owners and investors entirely, rather than stealing it from them:
1. Please Mandate MVR-Only Point of Sale (POS) Systems
Dear @MMuizzu! Please mandate that the @MMA_Maldives forces all credit card terminals and payment gateways across resorts and guesthouses to process transactions strictly in MVR! This will allow zero USD to be received by them—nothing for them to money launder then, stupid @Min_Mohst!
2. Trapping Visitors in a "Maldives Tourist Wallet"
@MMuizzu, if you want everyone to operate in MVR, why don't you force the tourists to do it too? Introduce an exclusive digital wallet or pre-paid card. The moment a tourist books a trip or lands at Velana, make them load their foreign funds into it, instantly locking it in as MVR. This will drive the MVR currency in #Maldives, dear @MMA_Maldives you want this nation to be!
3. Banning USD on Online Travel Agencies (OTAs)
As you know, @MMuizzu, international platforms like @bookingcom, @agoda , and resort websites are currently pricing everything in USD. If you actually stand by your policies, implement regulations requiring all accommodations to list their prices, calculate taxes, and process checkout bills exclusively in MVR!
But you won't do that, @MMuizzu, aka @MMA_Maldives!
Because you want to bag and swallow all these USDs that the hardworking staff and investors of the tourism sector earn by working their butts off!
You are systematically and practically stealing the dollars of our investors and the staff working in our tourism sector—looters!
If we can't have dollars, neither should you have the dollars for your wasted projects and to pay your business and corrupt partners through @bankofmaldives, and your political appointees who are robbing us of all our USD after capturing them!
