#Visuallocalization is crucial for many robotics applications! However, extreme viewpoint changes still challenge current methods. Next month at #IROS2020 #RAL, we present an aerial to street-level dataset to study visual localization under extreme viewpoint changes.

#VisualLocalization can estimate a user's position in a building. It matches a 360 photo taken from a helmet-mounted camera to the building's #PointCloud. In order: Scanning with LIDAR, point cloud, 360 photo, location result.
