OIPA is the international organization for animal protection. They are calling for change after the WangWang abuse case. TRIGGER WARNING Since the dog abuse case went viral, there have been numerous videos released showing dog meat vendors and others responding in retaliation. A recent one showed a golden retriever-type dog being bashed on the head by a meat vendor, then forced inside a boiling barrel of water while still alive, trying desperately to escape. The meat vendor placed a lid on the barrel and boiled the dog alive. Seeing the dog react in total confusion, pain, and fear was heartbreaking. I couldn't watch much of it. I'm not sharing it here. China's response to the global anger regarding the WangWang case and the exposure of their lack of anti-cruelty laws has angered the CCP and citizens who benefit from and enjoy animal cruelty and the dog and cat meat trade. Instead of reform, they are doubling down in retaliation and abusing animals and filming it.
