According to two different sources in #Masagaway #Masagawayn #Somalia, #Alshabaab attempted attack was thwarted. Many #Alshabaab terrorists were killed and #Ashabaab lost a lot of weaponry.
The war was intense and there were heavy casualties on our side as a number of #SNA soldiers were killed.
The weapons that #Alshabaab posted on social media are probably the weaponry they captured in the #BuuloMareer attack where they killed a lot @ATMIS_Somalia soldiers.
My advice to #Somalis is to not participate in #Alshabaab propaganda war.
This is a war and we are going to lose soldiers but they are martyrs. Also stay informed from correct sources.
Remember this is a war, you lick your wounds, bury your pain and fight on. In war, you under-report your casualties and over report your enemy’s losses. This a war tactic meant to confuse and terrify the enemy. However, this should be done reasonably or it can backfire if it is far distant from reality on the ground. 1/2
