Many @kusamanetwork parachains still have super slow block times because not all #collators are back up and running.
If your nodes chain height is not increasing - you need to act ⚡️
@MoonriverNW and @InterlayHQ released a patched client that will lift you over the bad block!
If you are using rocksdb you can also perform an revert to discard unfinalized blocks. 🚮
To do so, first stop the node (database needs to be unlocked) and then trigger the `revert` command of the node binary. Make sure to give it the appropriate base-path and chain/chainspec according to your service file.
Here's an example how it could look like (here: @oak_network turing)
/usr/local/bin/oak-collator revert --base-path /var/lib/turing --chain turing

What happened to #collators on @MoonbeamNetwork ?
First they were just all stuck on the same block unable to create a runtime with "invalid `extra_heap_pages`: out of range integral type conversion attempted" and 'tokio-runtime-worker' panicking, now the nodes crashed.

If your node is not producing blocks, restart it! Block eligibility gets restored that way. But maybe it's needed once per session...

...this caused the ⛓️chain #performance and block times ⏳ of all parachains to go down the sink.
#collators missed out rounds of collation, #delegators got no rewards and on some chains collators got #slashed and removed innocently while the #problem was a relay #validator.

...these #disputes made it #impossible for the parachain #collators to get their prepared #blocks validated, cause it was interpreted as a long-range #attack (the para blocks were not validated on the relaychain through the #sharedsecurity 🔐)

...on @AstarNetwork #canary @ShidenNetwork we have already seen 12!!! #collators #slashed and removed from the candidates ☠️🥶
These #collators been completely #innocent and that's why those slashes will be reimbursed but for now the #damage is done.

...on some #networks like @MoonriverNW we'll just see low block production or missed rounds for certain #collators (this still results in missed #rewards and reputational damage for those) we have even more severe outcome for other chains 👉
