@brian_trollz But you're regressing all the way back to just a database? Reviving old, disputed ideas from 10+ years ago... A purely #descriptivist approach is missing a key ingredient. Who cares that it is obejectively a DB? We care because it is predominantly money and combating spam ...

I'm not offended by being referred to as she or they. There isn't anything inherently shameful in being referred to as a woman or nonbinary. Whether a speaker is mistaken or trying to be offensive is not my burden. I want to be allowed to not prefer pronouns at all.#descriptivist

English grammar makes so little sense because the language has evolved over centuries. It was only in the 16th century that anyone tried to impose rules--borrowed from Latin. That's like asking an amoeba to behave like a robot! #NationalGrammarDay #grammarpolice #descriptivist
