In January, we were closely following the #EB154, and calling on Member States to engage in the preparations for the UN High-Level Meeting (#HLM) on NCDs in 2025.

After a marathon of late night #WHA77 sessions last week, the WHO's new Executive Board #EB154 opened a two-day meeting, with member states admonishing each other not to "politicize" proceedings, while making geopolitical barbs. New chair @Matthewbarbados will have his hands full.

The very long week of the #EB154 has just ended. Despite all the tension in the world, the @WHO Member States are deeply engaged in health dialogue. We are grateful for:
- extensive support for our work in health emergencies
- the green light for the investment round later this year to ensure stability for our financing
- rich discussions to promote health, mitigate the #ClimateCrisis and ensure #HealthForAll
I hope health will continue to be an open bridge towards peace. Informal Member State expressions of support for the #PandemicAccord they’re negotiating were heartening.
And once again, my congratulations to Dr @HananBalkhy, @drSaimaWazed and Dr Saia Ma’u Piukala on your appointments to serve in your respective regions. I look forward to working together for a healthier, safer, fairer world.
The WFH is pleased to announce the renewal of its official non-state actor status with the @WHO approved at #EB154. This important status enables the WFH to play an active role with WHO as a formal interlocutor and global advocacy voice for the #BleedingDisorders community.
