At the peak of BJP & Modi’s popularity in his first term, there was a concrete effort by opposition to stir ppl on SM with #IndiaIsNotSafe kind of movement.
As a counter, BJP called for nationalists to assemble in Old Central Jail Bengaluru premises to take a rally out with #IndiaIsSafeUnderModi or something to that effect.
Fully charged up, I went to attend the rally.
Sum total of 20 ppl came & after few speeches, rally started towards Chalukya circle where it was to culminate.
Congress too had asked ppl to come out & protest, sum total of 5 topi dhaari ppl had come to counter bjp rally.
When both crowd met each other at race course junction, we looked at each other & started laughing instead of protesting. and everyone disbursed from that point itself without going any further.
I hope I’ve summarised enough to give ppl an understanding on traction online vs reality on ground in India.
I have 50 mutuals already with the CJP account. This generation is fkn finished.
