I continue to see almost daily people saying sharding isn’t a viable method for scalability
As they believe it sacrifices on security and decentralization but this is no longer the case
A fully sharded chain such as #MultversX is provably secure by using randomness in shard placement as well as consensus group selection
With their 3200 nodes the probability of a shard takeover is 2.88 x 10^-78
Similar odds to you winning the lottery every single day for 2 weeks straight
There are other security measures on top of that as well to make it provably impossible to overtake a shard and take control over the network
Thus preserving security while providing for unmatched scalability

Add in @MultiversX ESDT native asset which remove risks of wallet drains, are immune to reentrancy attacks, and provide far better interoperability as well as much more and you have industry leading security
And that’s without even mentioning their Guardians which take things to an entirely new level with on-chain 2FA
Now lets talk scalabilty:
MultiversX has 3 active shards + a metachain
Each shard is currently capable of 10k TPS which is soon to be 30k TPS per shard
Since MultiversX is adaptively sharded the chain can also add shards with demand
A live network test done in 2020 with 51 shards, 1774 nodes, across 29 countries reached a TPS of 263k
Back in 2020…
Since then the team has made massive strides and continues to grow and build
Looking to add parallel transactions at the node level which will boost TPS to 100k per shard or more and projected to roll out in 2024

Needless to say I have yet to find any other chain in 1000’s of hours of research that can compete on all levels
