🚜 Telangana stands by its farmer.
Agriculture Minister @Tummala_INC Nageswara Rao held a meeting with #RFCL #CEO Alok Singhal and #NFCL Sales Manager (Telangana) Rajesh.
During the meeting, the Minister pointed out that 62,473 metric tonnes of urea that is due to Telangana from RFCL has not yet been supplied. He stressed that the delay in supply is causing serious difficulties for farmers and could adversely affect their crops. He urged RFCL to ensure timely delivery of the allotted quota of urea to the state.
The Minister insisted that the entire quota must be supplied without delay, and at least 50% of the pending urea should be dispatched to Telangana within this week, either from RFCL or NFCL. He made it clear that the distribution of fertilizers must happen immediately so that farmers are not inconvenienced.
Responding to this, the RFCL MD assured that the required urea will be supplied soon and that necessary steps will be taken to meet the needs of farmers.
The Minister also informed that currently 42,000 metric tonnes of urea are available in the state, with an additional 6,543 metric tonnes arriving today. Furthermore, by the end of this month, another 37,877 metric tonnes are expected to reach Telangana on various dates. He added that the government is in continuous contact with suppliers to ensure smooth supply, and assured farmers that there is no need to panic.
