.@GovMurphy’s #StateoftheState underscores his commitment to pushing NJ forward in #sustainability! With bold goals like 100% #cleanenergy by 2035, we must work together to codify this vision and secure a healthy, bright future for all.#NJSOTS
Governor Murphy’s vision must include empowering families with better access to quality education. Let’s break down barriers and create real opportunities for NJ students.

Yesterday, members of the coalition were at the Statehouse to raise awareness of the impact that high and rising hospital costs have on the lives of everyday New Jerseyans. #NJSOTS

#PhilMurphy #NJSOTS address today was filled with legislative agenda and personal backslapping to himself. Before he enters hall there are "Special" people chosen to enter before him

My Rebutall to Governor Murphy’s #NJSOTS
Governor Murphy’s State of the State address paints a picture of progress through government intervention, but the reality for New Jerseyans is starkly different. Our state remains a cautionary tale of corruption, overreach, and inefficiency. Here’s why his agenda falls short and why New Jersey deserves better.
Big Government: Breeding Corruption and Waste
New Jersey’s entrenched political culture is a revolving door of special interests and wasteful spending. Year after year, taxpayer dollars are funneled into poorly managed projects and politically connected initiatives, leaving residents footing the bill for failures. Infrastructure projects, for example, are plagued with delays and skyrocketing costs, benefiting contractors while roads and bridges remain unsafe.
Instead of reforming the system, Governor Murphy proposes even more government programs, which history shows will only compound the problem. A smaller, transparent government focused on core functions is the real path to progress.
Invasion of Privacy and Data Collection
Murphy’s administration increasingly prioritizes state control over personal freedom. From banning cell phones in classrooms to introducing mobile driver’s licenses, the government is collecting and managing more of our private data than ever before.
This kind of centralization raises serious concerns about data security and misuse. New Jerseyans shouldn’t have to trade privacy for so-called progress. A Libertarian approach respects individual rights and limits the government’s ability to intrude into our lives.
The Burden of High Taxes and Fiscal Irresponsibility
New Jersey has the highest property taxes in the nation, and residents are leaving in droves for states with friendlier tax policies. Governor Murphy touts pension payments and increased public funding, but these are stopgap measures that ignore the root cause of our fiscal crisis: a bloated and inefficient government.
Programs like universal pre-K and paid family leave sound noble, but they come at a cost that businesses and taxpayers cannot afford. Adding to this burden while doing little to address the waste already rampant in state spending only digs the hole deeper.
Misguided Policies in Housing and Energy
Governor Murphy’s plan to reform zoning laws and achieve 100% clean energy by 2035 doubles down on government interference in markets that could thrive with fewer restrictions. Overregulation created the housing crisis, and mandates in the energy sector will drive up costs for consumers and small businesses.
A free-market approach that prioritizes innovation and competition can solve these problems more effectively than top-down mandates ever could.
A Call for Liberty and Accountability
New Jersey needs a government that respects individual liberty, prioritizes fiscal responsibility, and restores trust in public institutions. Governor Murphy’s address offers more of the same policies that have kept New Jersey stuck in a cycle of high taxes, wasteful spending, and political corruption.
It’s time to pull the plug on big government and give New Jersey back to its people. By reducing taxes, cutting waste, protecting privacy, and empowering individuals and communities, we can restore the American Dream in our state.
Let’s fight for a New Jersey that values freedom, transparency, and the power of the people over the bureaucracy.
.@GovMurphy's #NJSotS address highlighted significant progress, but left critical issues unaddressed — notably, protection for immigrants.
"They deserve strong and vocal advocacy from our leaders to ensure their safety and well-being.” said @NicoleNJPP.

Concerned that the governor didn’t speak about protecting immigrants in our state, nothing about anti poverty programs, or the fiscal crisis we are facing in the state, particularly with the looming federal threats. What is the plan? #njsots
Reforming penalties for technical parole violations is one way to reduce the trauma of the criminal justice system! I hope the legislature will do the right things and move this forward! #njsots
Parole reform is HUGE. NJ's parole system is broken. @GovMurphy's proposal will be transformative, reducing the number of people funneled into prisons on technicalities. Eagerly awaiting how this will impact those currently incarcerated for technical parole violations! #NJSOTS
@GovMurphy @alexfromNJ @ForTheManyNJ @bholom11 Same-day registration should be a no-brainer and yet it has stalled once more in the legislature.
More than 20 states have same-day registration! There's no reason NJ can't join them!

Ensuring everyone pays their fair share is really the best way to make our state stronger and fairer. #NJSOTS
Despite reductions in violent crime, we continue to have to defend against tough-on-crime legislation. Can we stop now? Please? #NJSOTS
Governor Murphy ran as the greenest governor in America. Let’s finish strong and codify the 100% clean energy standard into law! It will mean green jobs, energy independence, and a more resilient electric grid. #NJSOTS
@GovMurphy @alexfromNJ @ForTheManyNJ It's beyond time for the legislature to pass a bill to scrap out-of-pocket costs for abortion procedures.
As my colleague @bholom11 has noted, cost is a huge barrier for people seeking abortion care
#NJSOTS

New Jersey must be a safe haven for reproductive freedom. Grateful that @GovMurphy is supporting abortion access for all and that he will be stockpiling mifepristone for those who need it. When the federal government won’t protect our rights, New Jersey must lead. #njsots

There is no doubt that the climate crisis is here, and it’s already hurting New Jersey. We need to reduce emissions AND make our state more resilient to droughts & floods. #NJSOTS
New Jersey really is a leader in repro rights. I am proud to have a governor who will defend people who can get pregnant against any and all federal attacks against that fundamental right. #NJSOTS
Exciting to hear the governor spend this much time on abortion. Many legislators won't even say the word. #NJSOTS
I have serious concerns about data privacy and surveillance on this one. Need more details but I don't think we are ready yet! #NJSOTS
This year, I look forward to signing legislation that will allow every New Jerseyan to obtain mobile driver’s licenses and IDs, accessible from their smartphone. 📱🪪
