ATP Project Connect, via a contract with the City of Austin (over which ATP exercises zero accountability because they are a servant of Austin), has already spent 2/3 of the $300 million Anti-Displacement Fund and no one, not a single home or business, has been displaced by Project Connect? So what are they spending the money on? Rent and utility assistance (and mostly nonprofit grifter organizations the City contracts with) now that will have absolutely zero impact if and when any rail project is ever built.
This Project Connect scam has more facets than any diamond ever cut.

One correction to the story: In October 2024, ATP had to update its cost estimate with the FTA. ATP jacked the cost from $7.1B to $8.234B. ATP has never mentioned that cost increase to the public locally. So much for transparency. https://t.co/wfHtjhxy8x
