I don’t normally tweet about this bc I don’t want help, not from you kind ppl. I get $1015/mth, I sold my car 2 yrs ago bc I couldn’t afford the maintenance. I don’t go to the fb bc the food is crap & I have Crohn’s. As it is I eat ramen. Ease up on ODSP recipients.

I've contacted upward of 50 different places to rent in the last couple weeks. Most of them dont get back to me. Some I've gone to see. Several arent as advertised (not private, drug neighbours, etc). I've run out of places that fit my budget. I may be homeless again.

I don't think most people understand how impossible it is to afford market rent on ODSP. My mom receives $1,150 a month, and before my brother passed, he received $926 a month. They lived together, which means the total income of this household per month was $2,076.

@fordnation How can you expect people to live on ODSP? I'd like to challenge you to live on that amount for 3 months. Maybe then you would get it. Not all of us are rich, ex hash dealers with a cottage and wealth. #raiseODSP

@blind_kindness I’ve talked with a lot of ODSP workers. Most are trying to find every possible benefit to help their cases. They’re overworked & demoralized seeing so many cases go homeless or die. They cant change the system. It’s not the workers. Change the politicians & the system #RaiseODSP
