The Centre For Liberty team went back to Vijayanagaram collector office on Tuesday, to follow up on the status of the complaint we had submitted on August 11. In our complaint, we listed 9 clear cases which had no plausible reason for inclusion in the 22A list. This time we met the joint collector and reminded him of the legal obligation to pass a speaking order within six weeks of receiving the complaint or representation regarding delisting from the 22A prohibited list. Six weeks had elapsed but no action was taken. He said our earlier letter had not come to his attention so he promised to resolve this in less than two weeks While we will follow up and pursue this along with other legal avenues to help the victims of 22A tyranny, the only viable solution is to Rollback 22A entirely We exhort the Andhra Pradesh government to take this issue seriously and provide a long overdue relief to over a million people who are suffering due to this unconstitutional land grab by the government The 22A scheme is currently serving no purpose other than to enrich corrupt revenue officials and MLAs and other politicians Our 22A helpline phone number is 7995259898 #22A #rollback22A #AndhraPradesh #propertyrights
