Not for abuse.
Not for misinformation.
But for peacefully questioning the ₹1,090 crore H-CITI flyover project around Hyderabad's last green lung—KBR National Park.
Those 53,322 voices include environmentalists, scientists, doctors, lawyers, parents, urban planners, academicians, entrepreneurs, students, homemakers, workers, street vendors, drivers, daily wage earners, senior citizens, walkers, nature enthusiasts—and countless ordinary Hyderabadis who simply want a healthier, more liveable city.
We were blocked for asking why there is still no DPR, no Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), no Environmental & Social Impact Assessment, and no meaningful public hearings on a project that will permanently reshape Hyderabad.
We were blocked for highlighting independent scientific findings that show:
🚗 Traffic relief will be temporary. Average traffic speeds are projected to fall below 18 km/h after 2032 as traffic exceeds road capacity.
🏥 The project could significantly increase asthma, COPD and stroke, particularly among children and the elderly, with the estimated health burden costing nearly 86% of the project's construction cost.
🌍 The project could result in a 219% surge in CO₂ emissions, creating an estimated ₹10,436 crore climate liability.
🌳 Hyderabad risks sacrificing KBR National Park—its last green lung—for a project that independent experts say is unlikely to achieve its own objective.
Blocking citizens won't block facts.
In a democracy, questions deserve answers—not silence.
We urge @revanth_anumula, @INCIndia and @RahulGandhi to engage with Hyderabad's citizens, release all project documents, and let science, transparency and public participation guide decisions that will shape our city's future.

Govt: “Flyovers will solve Hyderabad traffic.”
Reality: Entire city gridlocked after one spell of rain. Cars piled over concrete corridors. Bottlenecks everywhere. Honking everywhere. Chaos everywhere.
And for this “solution”, Hyderabad is being asked to choke KBR National Park — the city’s last major green lung. 🌳
No cumulative EIA.
No meaningful public hearing.
Disregard for the 2021 High Court stay order.
If endless flyovers were truly the answer, why does traffic keep worsening while the city keeps heating, flooding and choking?
Hyderabad doesn’t need a future buried under concrete. It needs scientific urban planning, public transport, traffic management and protection of its ecological lifelines like KBR.
