The Court was informed that with 11 days remaining for final roll publication and only 4 days available to complete hearings, the process faces serious constraints. 32 lakh voters are marked as unmapped, while 1.36 crore voters, about 20% of the electorate, were flagged under Logical Discrepancy post draft roll.
Although 88 lakh hearings have taken place since 16 December 2025 at a rate of 1.8 lakh per day, nearly 63 lakh hearings remain pending, necessitating an impossible pace of 15.5 lakh hearings daily. The deployment of 8,300 micro-observers without statutory backing was also highlighted.
