MDFC joined @HDIRwanda and other partners on the closing day of the #AdolescentConference2025, where adolescents engaged directly with policymakers and #YLOs in setting clear goals to increase awareness of the newly enacted adolescent #SRHR law, which ensures they have access to accurate information and safe #SRH services. Raquel Baez Báez, Deputy Head of Development Cooperation at the Embassy of Sweden in Rwanda @SwedeninRW, noted that “this milestone, the enactment of the new law, shows the strength of advocacy, civil society engagement, and government leadership.”
Discussions continued on healthcare law implementation, strategies for adolescents, and commitments from youth-led organizations (YLOs) and #CSOs to bridge the gap between policies and practice.
As the conference concludes, MDFC calls on all partners to turn commitments into tangible results for every adolescent in Rwanda.

In collaboration with @RBCRwanda and under support of @WHORwanda, we have concluded a 9-day capacity-building of #IshemaRyanjyeProject by training @HP_Organi staff & volunteers, peer educators, nurses, as well as #CSOs & #YLOs; equipped with skills on use of #ishemaryanjyecards
On the 2nd day of #IshemaRyanjyeProject capacity building for #CSOs& #YLOs, participants engaged in #IshemaRyanjyeCards game and appreciated it, noting that it creates a conducive environment for #adolescents & youth as well as parents and children by opening discussions on #SRHR
#IshemaRyanjyeCards game is introduced as an additional tool to complement #CSOs/#YLOs' existing approaches. On its first day, the cohort has intensely focused on understanding the content in the #IshemaRyanjye handbook, which contains #SRHR information and a guide to the game.
