This little man is Pip, he came in to us with his brother Loki, they are 18 months old, a little bit nervous for the first 10 mins and then they are your best friend, they are active and playful, very loving, they like nothing more than being on your knee giving kisses and having a tummy rub. They will need some basic training and socialisation and this will take time, but they want to please so that is a very good starting point, they have been around children so we would be happy to re-home with children aged 7yrs+, they are good around other dogs and Loki is likes to play with cats, Pip will bark at them but that is all, so we would consider re-homing with other animals.

If being affectionate was an Olympic sport then George would be taking home the gold medal! He is a 4yr old ex racing Greyhound who is extremely friendly and excellent when walking on lead. Because of his background we would be looking for a cat free home. During his racing days he had an injury which resulted in a fractured foot, however this has healed completely and doesn’t cause any issues other than him having a limp. George can currently be seen on our viewing kennels at Bleakholt.

In the UK a stray dog becomes the property of the council after 7 days. The dog can then be sent to a rescue shelter for rehoming.

This lovely boy was brought into kennels after being found roaming as a stray. From his microchip we know he is 9 years old and named Haze. We believe Haze to be a boxer cross bulldog. Haze is always clean in his kennel which is a good indicator that he is housetrained. He has a friendly, giddy temperament. He is well behaved and walks on the lead nicely. We have seen no negative reactions from him towards other dogs he is kennelled next to. Haze would make a great companion in his loving forever home. - Sheffield Council Pound.
