(1) Dilution of the safe harbour for online intermediaries- EU Digital Directive already in place, in India the new DIA will probably separately classify intermediaries and increase obligations re due diligence (which has happened under the IT Rules,2021);
(3) News bargaining codes and content license requirements requiring online intermediaries esp social media and search engines being required to pay new publishers for exploration of news - already in place in Australia, Canada - on the anvil in the US and UK and other countries.

This is a worldwide trend. Can’t say they didn’t have the opportunity to head this off.
