All views originate from the voices in my head, which are effectively my employers. No longer a head teacher; beginning to make some sort of sense of all that.
If you’re a new head starting in January, or if you know someone who is, dm me contact details and I will send a totally free copy of ‘The Sweary Headteacher’s Guide to Headteachering’ it hasn’t been updated for the Covid19 era, but those old standard challenges never change
@tes Well would you believe it?
10 heads have died so far, with exactly that pressure being recorded by their coroner as a contributory cause of death, including Ruth Perry.
How many more deaths - HT DEATHS, folks!! - will it take to realise that Ofsted is past its sell-by date?
@Realtommyrobbie@BrexitBuster I’m still seething about this!
I refuse to wipe my arse with Easter toilet paper unless it is clearly marked. When the eggs come out again they deserve respectful wiping, it’s what Jesus would expect.
Thank you Andrex! It’s going to be a very unhygienic and smelly holiday…
@Microinteracti1@kennygfrederick@DavidD_Chapman Not to mention the fact that the UK was paying the USA heavily for that intervention right up to the end of the 20th century.
Less of the saviour and more of the paid mercenary if we want to get picky…
@adamboxer1@MathsGCSETutor For the past 12 minutes I have been punching myself repeatedly in the face and damaging my already far from perfect looks. I’d like to stop but what can I replace it with?
After all, people who hate me think it’s an improvement.
Maybe I’d better just carry on doing it…
@JudyHamond@Strandjunker Bit more complicated than that. They fled because they were not free to persecute others. They were free to worship but objected to that freedom being applied to others.
The human race - We’re a weird bunch aren’t we!
@teacherhead Indeed. How bad does a framework have to be for Amanda Spielman to claim hers was better? Sorry Amanda, is that the framework that led to someone taking their own life?
This sentence needs amplification until someone with the power to curb OFSTED’s wrong headed policies takes heed,
or puts it out of its (everyone’s)misery
‘Ofsted’s system has zero credibility if it continues to punish schools who do the right thing rather than game the system.’
This makes last weeks speech by Mr O even harder to take. Shame schools working hard under massive challenge. Ofsted’s system has zero credibility if it continues to punish schools who do the right thing rather than game the system.
The @suttontrust finding coupled with how @Ofstednews framework is slamming disadvantaged and inclusive schools is a storm about to rage.
A non-inclusive system encouraged and praised by accountability measures that reward creating cultures where not all are welcome.
@smithsmm@suttontrust@Ofstednews And so we see OFSTED’s unashamed low aspirations for SEN pupils. Despite easily accessible info (e.g. percentage of SEN pupils compared to local average) they somehow fail to have a mechanism to use this data, instead celebrating non inclusive schools. Incompetence,or intention?
I need help! ... I need a total overhaul of our Computing Curriculum in a Special secondary school; autism & disengagement specialty.
Where do I look for schemes and exam boards for year 3 to GCSE ?!?

I’ve been away for a bit. We haven’t been having the best time, to be honest. I’ve noticed a few things happening with Ofsted and their supporters recently, and I’ve written about it.
Ofsted, of course, are driving on regardless.

@Edmund_B_W So much loss, so much good faith interaction, so many words written and so little change or even acknowledgement that there’s a problem. Heartbreaking but I’m encouraged that you’re still here and up for it, Edmund. Thank you for your work. Maybe the tide is beginning to turn 🤞
@larryandpaul I feel he might have missed what you said by prematurely blocking you. Would it help if we all repeat it to him so that he doesn’t miss it. I’m sure he’d welcome the feedback.
@reece_dinsdale@stellasalt1 When I had cancer 20 or so years ago a religious sub group of school staff proudly told me they were praying for me. ‘That’s nice of them.’ I thought, but made sure to get a friend to sacrifice a chicken* so that would get equal billing for my ‘miraculous’ survival
