My preprint is now posted with some minor updates! Glad to share this work and grateful to everyone who contributed. Check it out here: https://t.co/mKj7USA9jt
In Kansas City, MO for the Stowers Research Conference on Stem and Regenerative Biology. I look forward to engaging with people and will be giving a short talk on Friday! @Stowers_SRC
Back on the East Coast for the GRS/ GRC Developmental Biology conference. I look forward to speaking one-on-one with people at my poster. I will be giving a short talk on Tuesday, as well!
This week we are highlighting the 2022 O’Day Fellowship recipients.
Meet Rea Kioussi and Heather Le Bleu (@HeatherBleu), who are working together in the Stankunas Lab (@StankLab).
#SciArtTuesday from @HeatherBleu: "Chimera zebrafish that is composed of two genetically distinct types of cells. Dashed red line outlines overgrown fin tissue that consists of donor cells. This research investigates how organ size and shape is controlled." #ResearchAsArt#SciArt
Update on our #zebrafish#transcriptome. Fixed GTF for more recent @10xGenomics cellranger versions. Apparently sort order matters. Updated GTF at https://t.co/o4DgTBQEjm. Thanks to @HeatherBleu et al. in @StankLab, @biyonur here @UmassMedical Biocore for troubleshooting.

Antidepressant Could Represent First Disease-Modifying Treatment for Osteoarthritis💊🦴🦵🏽
@PennStHershey scientists have found that the antidepressant paroxetine can stop the progression of osteoarthritis, and regenerate damaged cartilage in the joints of mice.
New #research from @penn_state College of Medicine researchers in @ScienceTM shows that a commonly used anti-depressant may also be able to prevent cartilage from breaking down and instead regenerate in #osteoarthritis. https://t.co/8LOJhziVOs
