@cosmos4u@michaelshermer@sapinker@bariweiss I'd be surprised if he paid a lot of attention to it or if he genuinely weighed any of the claims that Weiss's critics have made.
@QuetzalThoughts I've had to think it ironic because I saw you complain about social media brain rot but then such a view seemed like perhaps a very social media influenced view
@QuetzalThoughts I'm not on X much for reasons that you can guess given my politics and see only some posts but I've noticed that when you talk about 'the left' it's with a broad brush and I never recognize myself or any of the many lefties I know in it (eg "wanting" the destruction of Israel)
@john_seelke@PeacekeeperBH@eris_nerung@gtdad I'm sorry but what fresh hell of American arrogance is "it's probably not been studied in those countries"? Do you think we have no science here or something? We have thriving universities with pedagogy and education departments.
@zzzzaaaacccchhh Hey, thank you for your answer and the helpful information! I might in due time see if I can edit Wikipedia/TMDB. I wonder how the rumor came into existence at all, I have not found a clear source yet.
@zzzzaaaacccchhh Hi! I have been reading your excellent Cage biography and had a question that I wonder if you have the answer to. It's commonly communicated (eg. Wikipedia/IMDB/TMDB) that Cage appeared in The Outsiders as an extra. Do you know if that's true or not?
@philoshua@Rongwrong_ Yeah, given the origins of the concept of epistemic injustice it seems totally normal to use this example? It's actually an example similar to the one that I thought of when considering the concept of hermeneutical injustice. Wouldn't surprise me if the example was a known one
@ZonnetjeH@de_weeteri@HaagseInsider Ja vervelend he zo'n rechtstaat. Die is ook onderdeel van een democratie. Misschien geen loze beloftes maken maar plannen die daar rekening mee houden.
@QuetzalThoughts@Emmanue51284233 It's precisely because of propriety and accountability that this initiative seems bizarre and bad faith to me. You need an accountable structure and some "reply to this or we will consider it a resignation" email devised by some freak who has no care for truth is not it.
@QuetzalThoughts@Emmanue51284233 I think if it had simply be an internal command given to all managers to put a process like this into place where it is lacking, cognizant of the the local organizational need, I doubt you'd have gotten the current hubbub. But that's not what this command seems like.
