Does anyone know what the plan is (if any) for cyclists going between Wellesley St and Karangahape Rd? There’s an 800m gap where the Waihorotiu Path ends and the top of the hill at K’ Rd. Plenty of room to take 1 of the 5 or 6 lanes and use it for bikes and scooters? 🚲 🛴
The Elizabeth Line hit a new daily record of 738,000 users last week. Pre-pandemic projections were between 350,000 to 460,000 users per day. Other figures suggest a net gain of 140,000 public transport journeys across the capital a day
But apparently it's a white elephant
@CriticalMassAKL How do you get to Vincent St from Queen St without battling busses up Wellesley St? Can’t really get there from the soon to be cycleway on Victoria St. 🤔
Eyes on the Street from our friend, @jeffnovich live from 7th Ave. in Manhattan, where @nyc_dot is hardening previously unprotected, undaylighted space (🙏). Great for avoiding left hooks! See it yourself:
Thank You Sheffield. What an incredible turnout for the final UK ride of 2023.
I think it’s fair to say there isn’t anything like this in the entire world. Super proud of how far these cycling shows have come!
From 1 person, to 1,000’s.....
@StuartBDonovan That it’s almost single handled responsible for rat running? And that Google could end it and solve all the car brain issues described in the other replies if it really wanted to?
Having done my best to piss off a lot of people on this website one thing that stands out is how people who are accustomed to driving their car everywhere have never even really given car culture any thought.
Like, no part of it.
