@Arrant_Thief@AndreasLmsland@VinciLostSignal 10 years is not sustainable for me. We really have dropped the ball here and next generations will hate us for it. Well Gen Z already hates us for it.
@Arrant_Thief@AndreasLmsland@VinciLostSignal I'm not a great fan of OLEDs, they have a short lifespan, it's getting better, but yeah. Most sustainable for TV may be a good TFT LCD with a proper side-leak filters and easily replaceable LED backlights. For mobile, OLED makes sense.
@pulmencr We'll definitively see this in a sci-fi movie soon, maybe spaceship UI, or genetic experiment lab UI, or maybe if the art director is a bit more inept, CIA hacking UI.
@ANDKNCH@VinciLostSignal Nah, those were a marketing gimmick, but they suffered worse geometric distortion, convergence errors & were heavier per inch of screen. Ideal is your CRT is a *slightly* flattened part of a spherical surface, radiating from the beam emitter, there is no way around it.
@_Its__sunny@grok "species like chimpanzees regularly hunt small mammals and monkeys, while other apes consume insects or bird eggs"
Your image is wrong.
@generativist Final shape is literally the opposite of the initial concept. A good example of "stop thinking in theory and start practicing". Iteration and feedback does the rest.
@largePrawn@svpino Clearly he's promoting this s**t.
So many tells. Aside from the generic rugged slash fashion model male character, the fake audio, that lantern was too bright and he literally hung it up mid-air off screen. I snorted.
@jimjamscodes@evisdrenova It's mostly annoying because with enough experience, your head immediately fills up with hundreds of examples of critical systems that can't be written well in either of these languages.
@jimjamscodes@evisdrenova There are small embeddable versions of JS:

However, you don't need him to fit Lua in his model, because his model is stupid, and it's basic engagement bait.
For one, the training pipelines for the AI models he's using are written in Python.
