@kat_boogaard Oh man. That reminds me of the first article I submitted to a client without my husband looking over it first. It seemed so scary at the time! 😂
@kat_boogaard Ha! I was full-on committed to becoming a doula before I had my second child. And then– about 8cm dilated– I thought, "Nope. Nope, nope, nope." And now I'm in this freelance writing career 😂
1. A writer
2. English
3. A mom & writer
Hey, thanks! Today kinda sucked, but I basically live my childhood dream every day. So that's a nice reminder. (Never thought there would be so many Cheerios or diaper changes as a writer, though.)
Did your work life go as planned?
Mine certainly didn’t.
For fun, answers these 3 questions:
1. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
2. What did you study in uni/college?
3. What do you do for work today?
@WB_Baskerville Hubby got his degree in Philosophy and is constantly banging his head against his desk at the poorly-communicated emails, texts, and messages from the other guys in his IT company. It's a real problem.
Got to chat with the lovely @mirelzee about quitting my old, safe job and the financial footwork it took my family to get there. Also, we appear to have the same dad 😂 https://t.co/np2jdhtnVM
@kat_boogaard I wrote a piece about the "best soaker hoses" on Amazon. It took me HOURS while juggling a newborn. And I was embarrassingly happy with my $50.
Thinking about trying a #NoSpendNovember this year? I shared some tips from my successful no-spend month with @theblaxpat from @BHG this week: https://t.co/m54kp9iOnG
@PrisBlossom I assumed it would be easy to make friends as a mom. You have so much in common with other people, you see these other parents frequently, etc.
Maybe it's been due largely to COVID or polarization, but it has been SO. DARN. HARD. The loneliness is crushing.
@kat_boogaard Also, as a mom to a 2 year old and 9 month old who's still trying to run a freelance business- yes. Yes to all the exhaustion. Thanks for the reminder. :)
