In a “lockable cubicle” changing room situation - what’s the problem for women?

1. Men place spy cameras and retrieve them later. They are readily available on the Internet.

2. Men dress in women’s clothing and masturbate. No woman wants to be in that space after him.

3. Some women hearing a man’s voice next to her will be unable to undress due to past trauma and male violence.

4. Some women seeing a man enter before her in the next cubicle will be incredibly anxious thinking of being undressed and yes even if it is floor to ceiling. Don’t ask what her problem is - ask what a man has done in the past to make her feel this way.

5. Girls are vulnerable. If these changing rooms are unstaffed or not really closely monitored a stronger man could easily push a girl or woman inside and sexually violate her. No law is assisting her to object to him being there in order to do so. M

6. If cubicles are not floor to ceiling then men can use phone cameras to film or photograph women above or below.

7. If a woman was being subjected to domestic abuse/stalking a man might be able to follow her into these spaces on the pretence that he is “entitled to change there”. That could have tragic results.

There are probably more examples of why this is a terrible idea.

8. Women should not have to argue points 1-7. We have never been ok with this - it should never have been imposed upon us as an alternative to single-sex changing and the ONLY reason it has been is because the law has allowed a fiction that men pretending to be women should have special protections than other men. Every reduction in a single sex provision for women has been effected by aggressive men pretending to be women and pressuring society to believe them and provide for their fetish.

Unfortunately two Acts have passed through Parliament which have weakened any potential resistance to these men and their lies.

Any GC organisation which does not fight and fight now to repeal the laws as they stand regarding 1-7 is unfit for purpose and we should stop funding them.

People are right to be concerned about Christopher Harborne simply “giving” Nigel Farage £5 MILLION, and it is right for the Electoral Commission alongside the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner to investigate.

Imagine the reaction of Farage, Richard Tice, GB News, the Mail, Sun, Telegraph, Express, Spectator and all the other Reform-supporting hypocrites if, say, it were revealed that George Soros had given Zack Polanski or Andy Burnham £5 million.

“He doesn’t live here, he doesn’t pay taxes here. What right has he got to interfere with our democracy?”

An interesting question from Reform UK MP Richard Tice, who in 2018 warned about US billionaire George Soros’s interference in British politics.

Christopher Harborne a Thailand based British crypto billionaire and Reform UK’s largest donor with over £22 million total to the party, including a record £9 million plus single donations gave Farage a personal £5 million gift in early 2024 only weeks before Farage reversed his decision not to stand and successfully ran as MP for Clacton.

Harborne is now considered to be the biggest single donor to UK politics in post-war history. Quite the achievement for somebody who doesn’t even live here.

Farage initially described it as a purely private unconditional gift for personal security due to threats while Harborne later called it a reward for Farage’s Brexit work, creating inconsistencies that raise questions about its true purpose.

Farage did not register the gift in the MP’s register of interests after his election despite rules requiring declaration of relevant personal benefits received in the 12 months before entering Parliament, which led to a formal referral by the Conservatives.

Harborne funds roughly two thirds of Reform UK’s total donations, so a massive personal gift to the party leader timed with a key political decision and followed by Farage’s purchase of a £1.4 million property in cash naturally invites scrutiny over potential political motivation access or circumvention of donation transparency.

UK rules exist precisely to ensure transparency, prevent undisclosed influence (including from overseas based donors), and maintain public confidence.

The Electoral Commission must verify whether this gift complied with donation rules, and assess whether it was truly a non political personal gift or effectively a routed contribution. The Parliamentary Standards Commissioner is already investigating the declaration breach.

Large timed gifts from a party’s dominant funder to its leader, especially when undeclared, demand scrutiny.

This is not about conspiracy but democracy and basic democratic accountability.

Another day, another Girlguiding article that looks more like activism than journalism - this time from the Guardian.

The piece uses she/her pronouns throughout - for a 10-year-old boy. Who can no longer attend the Girl Guides. Because he is a boy.

It's built around a single emotive case study and one activist voice, with no meaningful independent reporting.

The case also bears similarities to recent coverage in Metro - a single emotive account, activist framing and little evidence the claims have been properly tested or set in their legal context.

Even the sole “counter” quote (Katie Alcock) appears to be recycled from a previous Telegraph article.

Rigorous reporting would draw on multiple sources, test claims against evidence, clearly explain the legal and safeguarding context and include independently sourced opposing views.

This isn’t balance. It’s ideologically driven narrative construction.
