The key to ending the #Ebola outbreak in the #DRC area:
Government leadership;
Community ownership;
Strong partnership between the many actors involved, working with one budget, one plan and one report;
And building trust in the affected communities.

A virus carries no passport and can’t be deterred by weapons. Yet we spend trillions on arms while underfunding the health systems that protect us all.
Health security IS security.
The world needs better global leadership.
In Darfur, Sudan, sexual violence follows women and girls wherever they go — in overcrowded shelters, on farmland, and at faraway water points.
In our new report, we call on all parties to cease and prevent sexual violence and hold perpetrators accountable, and on the international community to scale up health and protection services. ⬇️

A cholera outbreak has been ongoing in South Sudan for a year. Why hasn’t the outbreak been contained? Especially since, “we know how to prevent cholera”.
Ilse De Boer tackles this question, sharing her experience leading our emergency response: https://t.co/vbQgwtVzMo
We are horrified by the reports of the RSF attack on Saudi Hospital in El Fasher, North Darfur, and the detention of Ministry of Health staff. Saudi Hospital was the last surgical facility still functioning amid shortages and destruction during the siege. @MSF had to withdraw in August 2024 after repeated attacks.
In #Sudan, since the war began, over 150 attacks on healthcare have been recorded by @WHO
THIS MUST STOP NOW. Civilians, humanitarians and health workers must be spared.
#KeepEyesOnSudan

@MSF urges health actors to step up vector control & urgently open treatment centres.
Depriving people of water is not just a violation of international humanitarian law. It is a tool of genocide.
