We're working on building an upgrade to our turn table for 3D scanning. The old one was a little fast and had a tendency to make people dizzy. The new one will be more controlled and have a remote for the person running the software at the computer. #BSDFutureReady @HPRaiders

A few pictures of our Kid Friendly Table Saw build. Thanks again @stulowe80 and @John_Peplinski. Students got to use our little CNC Router to cut holes for the box and then laser etch the sign from mirrored acrylic from the scrap bin at @tapplastics #BSDFutureReady @HPRaiders

Added a proper power supply and PWM speed controller and finally got the Kinect 3d Scanner Turn Table moving at a slow enough speed. @HPRaiders #BSDFutureReady

Turns out that you can solder in a power adapter to a Xbox One Kinect, hook it up with a regular old USB3.0 cable, and use the Kinect SDK to 3d scan with relative ease. Maker Club had a fun time this morning trying to scan themselves. #BSDFutureReady @HPRaiders
