Please remember that Software 30, 40 years ago was a much more creative and revolutionary space. They were not regurgitating the same slop, or disabling important security fixes for temporary benefit, as they knew what was going on in the Computer.
Stalwart 1.0 is out! It's a mailserver written in Rust and has been in development for the last 5+ years. It supports literally everything, and most importantly all the JMAP stuff.
It's also significantly faster than dovecot in most common operations, and is getting better every day.
@Lelahelry Bulwark. It's a web client, and works on both mobile and desktop well. No good native client in any platform yet that I can recommend unfortunately
@dcolascione I agree, but overall most of what I look at, almost all of the improvements were made in the past. Nothing revolutionary today, except maybe the discovery of LLMs
@NikitkaPa@SickleApp Haven't measured that myself, but it should be fast. Give it a shot! I'd not use dovecot for anything today, and am moving off of it myself
@LukasHozda@coldcatallaxy@ardadev also this'd be a step towards separating the core "autolith" and the UI, and would pave the way towards creating different frontends. I want to experiment with one in QML, and one for Matrix
@LukasHozda@coldcatallaxy@ardadev this implies that the main agent would be viewing the main and all subagent chats, which it would, you the normal person should be able to view it too, you should not be different from the agent at all except in the way you're displayed information
unify the agent and the human
@LukasHozda@peach2k2@sama yup, 6.1 uses the autolith edit tool while in codex or opencode it spammed python scripts
so glad to get rid of javascript agentslop and whatever codex is
