Full interactive scatterplot of how GOP candidate coalitions in Georgia compare with one another across races.
The extreme anti-correlation between Jones and Raff/Carr suggests to me that Jackson is very much in this. https://t.co/yHPe9w5Mzr
Potential comeback story: former Congressman Joseph Cao leads the Republican Primary for a seat on the state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Cao served a single term in the majority-black 2nd district from 2009 to 2011.
@schelzig@PhilNvestigates All of the Sumner Co. census blocks in that part of the river were kept in the 6th, perhaps to unite the portions of Sumner that are in the 6th together?
Here is a Google Map rendering of the new TN Congressional District proposal. (This is hand-drawn from the Amendment so it is not 100% accurate.)

Only one chance in this lifetime…
Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
Here is Sunday's election in Hungary, mapped by municipality. The TSIZA movement swept into power with a 2/3 majority, ending 16 years of Orban's government. It was aided by an extremely efficient coalition, getting 52% overall, but not above 68% in any one district.
Did a map of the Hungarian election. With 96.89% of all votes counted, The Tisza Party led by Péter Magyar is set to win 138 seats. Enough for a two-thirds constitutional majority.
There are still votes to be counted and some seats will move. But the 2/3 majority has is safe.
Welcome home Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy! 🫶
The Artemis II astronauts have splashed down at 8:07pm ET (0007 UTC April 11), bringing their historic 10-day mission around the Moon to an end.
Earthset.
The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.
Artemis II has reached its maximum distance from Earth.
On the far side of the Moon, 252,756 miles away, Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy have now traveled farther from Earth than any humans in history and now begin their journey home. Before they left, they said they hoped this mission would be forgotten, but it will be remembered as the moment people started to believe that America can once again do the near-impossible and change the world.
Congratulations to this incredible crew and the entire NASA team, our international and commercial partners, but this mission isn’t over until they’re under safe parachutes, splashing down into the Pacific.
"Welcome to my old neighborhood." Our @NASAArtemis II astronauts woke up on the sixth day of their mission to a special message recorded in 2025 by astronaut Jim Lovell, the pilot of Apollo 8.
Nominal translunar injection burn complete. The Artemis II crew is officially on the way to the Moon.
America is back in the business of sending astronauts to the Moon. This time, farther than ever before.
Liftoff.
The Artemis II mission launched from @NASAKennedy at 6:35pm ET (2235 UTC), propelling four astronauts on a journey around the Moon.
Artemis II will pave the way for future Moon landings, as well as the next giant leap — astronauts on Mars.
