@DG_7D i don't particularly care if it's the right or bottom button but it would be nice if it was always the same, yeah
although these days i only play on PC where it's always the bottom face button and you can even remap it however you want so it doesn't particuarly affect me
@DG_7D so in my opinion it would've been totally fine to keep ◯ = confirm like in japan
the real issue is not the icon on the button but rather the placement
switching from nintendo consoles (right face button to accept) to the others (bottom face button to accept) is always annoying
@DG_7D ❌ is often used to mean "no" in western countries too but other times used to select an option, for example when voting
also, ◯ doesn't really have a meaning so when looking at the 4 icons on the buttons we just seem them as various symbols without a specific function
@wolf_1man i haven't seen much negativity myself
i think it looks great
rgg games had a lot of issue in their real time combat so i'm glad they're doing something with a totally different formula
@getinglouderig@microchipgnu a few of them are annoying because the ring doesn't adhere to the bottle properly which means the cap inevitably gets in the way when you tilt the bottle to pour the liquid
but in general they're great, yeah
@AfShinobu@duplavortex i mean yeah sure
i just don't like this type of baseless doomposting
considering we literally know they were previously asked by their publisher to release the game on PC and they refused, it's hard to see this as anything but a shift in how they handle their games
@AfShinobu@duplavortex vanillaware is listed as the sole developer on the steam page, if someone else is handling the port they're usually listed as well
unless you have a different source for that info i don't think that's the case
@rbeowulfz oh yeah for sure, but if you condition them not to parry then you can go for the actual mix
i guess my definition of gimmicky is a bit different
@SCPH_77777@k_junkpc it kept happening to me until i started using an ethernet cable
it's a bit annoying because wii u ethernet adapters are a bit hard to find, at least where i live
@Dimememem i mean altering a depiction of a country's culture to fit western standards is kind of a social issue, yeah
i know you can't criticize localization without getting called a chud (opposite of what i am) but i never really understood why that's a right wing thing in the first place
