A traveled to the top of a Volcano in Hawaii to capture this: Saturn briefly covered by the moon. One of the most difficult shots I’ve captured and a bucket list moment, this event gave me a new perspective on the solar system.
I’ll have it available in print for a short time.

Not one to brag, but this is pretty momentous. By dropping this one tube to the ground, I’ve officially started setting aside samples that Mars Sample Return could bring back to Earth someday.

DALL-E’s amazing images are popping up all over the web. That software uses something called a diffusion model, which is trained to remove noise from static until a clear picture is formed.
Turns out diffusion models can design proteins too!
Throwback to launch day! 🚀
This time-lapse is from less than two hours after the @NASAArtemis I mission launched as @NASA_Orion, built by us, headed off to the Moon.
It’s been two weeks since @NASA_SLS launched and we’re still getting new, awe-inspiring videos. 🤩
Mars Sample Return would be one of the most ambitious campaigns ever attempted in space.
But bringing those samples to Earth will be no easy feat, requiring multiple spacecraft to pick up the samples, launch off the Martian surface, and ferry them back to our planet.
50 years ago today Ron Evans practices one of the coolest things experienced during the Apollo program - the deep space EVA.
Evans is using the Water Immersion Facility at JSC to simulate the collection of film canisters from the instrument bay.
