Her name is not “Gombe Girl”. Her name is Maryam Ibrahim Dan Azumi. She is, currently, a 400-level student of Physics Education at Gombe State University as well.
Wallahy the number of kidnappings and killings in Arewa is underreported. I just don’t understand how our leaders are moving and hosting events smiling and acting like we are not at war. Like I don’t understand it Wallahy.
Sometimes like make I craze wallahy. Because how can you be having conferences upandan, doing mass weddings, screaming and shouting muzlem muzlem without addressing the killing of your people? Your own school children have been in captivity for 90 days and everywhere is calm.
Whenever I come back from “the abroad”, the first thing I look for is Suya and roasted corn. My Mai Suya are very diligent. The only days they are not there are on Sallah holidays.
Having been “in the abroad” for more than a month, I looked forward to my local ram suya. They were not there on Saturday. I thought “That’s odd!” They were not there again on Sunday. I felt that something must be wrong.
When they were not there again by 12 noon on Monday, as they usually are everyday, I was really concerned.
There is a smart young woman who does a POS business near them. I asked her why they had not come for three days and she said that they had a little problem. I asked her what “little problem” they had.
Apparently, someone had come to buy Suya from them. While he was buying the Suya, a car thief entered his car and drove it away. He then accused my Suya guys of being responsible for the theft of his car, since he was buying Suya from them when it was stolen. He had all of them arrested and locked up!
I asked for their numbers and the POS lady said that they had seized all their phones. I didn’t know which police station they were at. I didn’t know their names and on the occasions that I had paid for my suya with a bank transfer, I didn’t save their account details that would have shown a name at least.
I started asking the people I knew in the police, but felt a bit silly saying “I am looking for four Suya guys that were arrested.”
I was determined to intervene because I know that it was just one “big man” taking out his frustrations on some little guys. How long does it take to buy Suya that they will have enough time to organise for your car to be stolen?
Those guys have been on that street for 20 years. They sell four full rams every day. They have come to my house to roast ram suya when I have had major social events.
I asked another Suya guy who sells beef suya nearby whether he had any of their phone numbers but he said that even he doesn’t have a phone, never mind having anybody’s phone number.
After searching for them for a week, I finally found a guy who said that they had now been bailed from the police station and were considering resuming their business. They had lost at least two weeks and were so traumatised by the experience that they did not want to return to the same location on Ebitu Ukiwe where they had been for 20 years!
I arranged with the guy who knew them that he will take me to go and see them when I return from my current trip. I will see if I can persuade them to return to their usual spot next to the diligent POS young woman and the nice lady that sells roasted corn. Perfect combination!
This country can be brutal when you are not a big man. Those of us who are not small in our own right have a duty to help protect the little guys from the typical Naija “big man.” I will find that their accuser, somehow, someway. You might think that you are a big man but “Even your boo get a boo (a boo, a boo).”
I am Ezemmuo. I know things.
@ogugua_onyeka@adewumihaas001@RnNneoma The post should be about calling out a failed system of government that allows this to happen to both the Doctors and patients. But somehow Nigerians always miss the point and blame each other.
@SamuelOmogor A realisation i have sadly come to terms with. The fact that most of the policy making offices are occupied by people with secondary education or lower is sad. Phd holders answering and professionals answering to them. Things are upside down in Nigeria 😭
For those who didn’t know late Col. AA Ude and the reason why his mysterious death is so painful to us (Igbo Muslims)
Sheikh Col. AA Ude was a Hafizul Qur’an (He memorized the whole Qur’an).
He was a mastery of Arabic Language, he commands the Language perhaps better than the Arabs.
He was a seasoned intelligence military officer and one of the best in Nigeria today.
He was due for his promotion to the rank of Brigadier General next year (a rank no Igbo Muslim ever has attained in the Military).
He had numerous awards commending his rare intelligence and intellect in Military intelligence security (a rare breed).
Above all, he was a very calm, quiet, and composed individual and hardly raises his voice when he communicates! 😭
He was a Teacher of the Qur’an and a great mentor to most of us and Wallahi, it would take a generation to raise his kind again in our midst!
May Allah grant you pardon our dear sheikh and illuminate your grave! May you not be questioned for too long before you are admitted into Jannah!
We lost our hero!

This is Nigeria, and in Hausaland, Hausa people are being subjected to genocide!
This is being carried out by Fulani, with the support of some Fulani Elites, traditional institutions, and under the cloak of religious leadership, in order to erase the Hausa people from the face of the earth.
Saying this is considered blasphemy, or you get arrested.

@salisuahmad51@Usman_Mb33@kilishi_kween_ Allow the idiot. I have known for a long time that Arewa men use hypothetical scenarios to justify the bad behaviour of men. It’s way more common than you think wallahi. They start making up all manner of scenarios kamar film just to make the man involved a hero.
@AbubakarDija And just like that a family has been torn to pieces for two people’s selfishness. I bet you his children will never look at him the same way and as for the girl it takes a certain level of insensitivity to do this.
As if TikTok had not advertised enough of the moral bankruptcy that has crept upon Arewa, we are now at the mercy of predators and perverts endangering the lives, the morality and the innocence of our children. This is where all social networking platforms must be held accountable, and thank you, HumAngle, for this harrowing investigative report.
Americans do not see the rest of the world as humans with their own dreams, hopes and desires.
To them, the victims of their atrocities only exist on TV.
They don't understand that we love our children the way they love theirs.
If any country bombed 180 teenage children in a primary school in DC, the entitle country would be baying for blood.
They might even send nukes.
But when they do it to other people's children of the wrong color or religion, it doesn't matter.
Suddenly it is justified because something something "Ayatollah" or something something "radical Muslims"
A throughly brainwashed people.
