I think CSPs, neoscalers and hyperscalers are a big class to be disrupted as the population realizes that a) AI is too powerful to be gatekept by a handful of model makers and b) that energy, permitting and construction isn’t actually a moat.
Spoke at the AI club at Stanford last night. 1000 people tried to attend. Seating was capped at 250.
It was pandemonium at the end! If you’re a resilient, gritty engineer, PM, designer or GTM person, please consider working with us:
- We have no org chart - everyone reports to me. We do this to minimize politics, titles and force natural leaders to self organize.
- We are severely under manned for the work we have (by design) so you are forced to engineer your way out. Build solutions not orgs.
- We will book nine figures this year and are growing very quickly. Our customers span all major parts of the US Economy.

@chamath Hi Chamath, it was great to meet you yesterday ( I drove up from Orange County that morning for this talk😀)! Looking forward to getting your feedback on our proposal.
@pbeisel Traditional budgeting of such Terafab with full logic/memory/packaging capacity and capability would be over $100B. Thus the announced $20B is indeed of 20%🫢
Please remember Elon’s mantra that factory is THE product and his 5 commandments of product design algorithm! He already gave the hint of his 2nm fab building in cigar smoking and cheeseburger eating environment. It shall retain only the actual processing chambers of each traditional ASML/AMAT/etc equipment and line them up in vacuum tubes to form literally semiconductor assembly lines. This could slash down fab building size and cost by 80%!
@elonmusk Abstraction actually best captures the essence of arriving at a scientific law, though compression and distilling are closely related aspects of this process. Correlation is a preliminary step, but not the final essence.
