I’m that Techie Girl who swoops in to save the day when you’re ready to pull out your hair. Fighting for truth in Digital Marketing … or posting pics of my cats
Today we are launching my favorite feature of ChatGPT so far, called Pulse. It is initially available to Pro subscribers.
Pulse works for you overnight, and keeps thinking about your interests, your connected data, your recent chats, and more. Every morning, you get a custom-generated set of stuff you might be interested in.
It performs super well if you tell ChatGPT more about what's important to you. In regular chat, you could mention “I’d like to go visit Bora Bora someday” or “My kid is 6 months old and I’m interested in developmental milestones” and in the future you might get useful updates.
Think of treating ChatGPT like a super-competent personal assistant: sometimes you ask for things you need in the moment, but if you share general preferences, it will do a good job for you proactively.
This also points to what I believe is the future of ChatGPT: a shift from being all reactive to being significantly proactive, and extremely personalized.
This is an early look, and right now only available to Pro subscribers. We will work hard to improve the quality over time and to find a way to bring it to Plus subscribers too.
Huge congrats to @ChristinaHartW, @_samirism, and the team for building this.
I can't stop thinking about this poem...
The final two lines bear repeating:
And make the ordinary come alive for them. The extraordinary will take care of itself.
How often have you been convinced that your joy, contentment, and fulfillment were on the other side of some extraordinary achievement?
• I'll be content when I get that promotion.
• I'll be fulfilled when I make director.
• I'll be joyful when I find a partner.
This "when, then" psychology traps our happiness in a conditional statement:
You get to be happy when you achieve that thing.
In a culture that obsesses over the extraordinary, there's much to be gained through simply shifting your focus to celebrate the ordinary.
How can you make the ordinary come alive today?
Every single thing you do today is something your 90-year-old self will wish they could go back and do.
That simple walk. That feeling of satisfaction when you figure out a tricky problem. That smile from a friend. That laugh from your child. That workout you wanted to skip. That conversation with your parents.
That ordinary moment you're tempted to ignore.
All of it.
So, the next time you find yourself wanting to skip through to the other side—to the end, the goal, the finish line:
Stop. Pause. And breathe it in.
This is it. This is real. This is life.
Make the ordinary come alive and the extraordinary will take care of itself.
@biello_joseph I’ve been there. Twice. Even though in both cases I knew it was the inevitable outcome it still hurt. Be kind to yourself. Grief isn’t linear.
I only ever share positive content to help save the street dogs.
1 million meals fed, 100,000 sterilizations funded and 106 dogs re-homed.
Today is the one day of the year I have a small request. You can do a monthly donation here...

@singhcredible No headaches other than after running. I run in the AM. 3-4 hours later headaches. I’ve tried running at night but then I wake up with a headache. Ideally I should just keep running 🤣 but that’s not feasible. I’ve had tests. No issues. Just curious if you’ve come across this b4
Tomorrow wraps up the first 5 months of my kids attending the school where all of the learning is powered by AI (and no teachers).
I get asked almost every day what the experience is like.
In short: it's truly wild.
Here's what it's like overall:
we have greatly improved memory in chatgpt--it can now reference all your past conversations!
this is a surprisingly great feature imo, and it points at something we are excited about: ai systems that get to know you over your life, and become extremely useful and personalized.
Spent the day digging my way through python, flask, MongoDB, and Google cloud code/commands. Really wish my web host would either give me root access, install the packages I need for me or sell me the server option that I need that will let me do it myself
