• In 2025, the Maharashtra Transport Department declared that this road would be maintained by the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC).

• In 2026, the MBMC passed a resolution stating that it would not use municipal funds to repair this road.

This road connects Gujarat with Thane, Pune, and other parts of Maharashtra, making it a vital transport corridor.

Now, the police are repairing the road with whatever resources they have.

Sir. I think maybe I speak for a small but valid percentage of India when I say couldn’t care less what the congress did anymore. Let it go. India moved on. They are not in power for their deeds. We did jokes about them for years, we booed them at the commonwealth games, they were a punch line on this platform for years, they got voted out. That’s life. These kids giving exams don’t even remember a congress govt. Questions can only be asked of those in power. That’s not being selective, it’s just called living in the present. Nepal banned student politics as soon as the new govt took over. An excellent decision because:

1. It distracts students from their primary purpose. Instead of studying, they get involved in protests, campaigns, and power struggles.

2. At a young age, students are rebellious without purpose and more vulnerable to influence, and political parties exploit these traits and use campuses to push their own agendas, limiting independent thinking.

3. Student politics frequently leads to clashes, violence, and unrest, turning educational institutions into conflict zones rather than safe learning spaces.

4. It politicizes the functioning of colleges, affecting merit-based decisions in admissions and administration. Most importantly, it wastes valuable time that could be spent building skills and careers, especially since very few students actually enter politics later.

The only argument in favor of student politics is that isne desh ko Shri falana, Shri dhimkana jaise mahaan leaders diye hain. Arre aise ki taise mahaan leaders ki. Those who have interest and capability in politics will rise irrespective of whether student politics exists or not.

India too should seriously consider banning it. Few things are as unproductive, nuisance-creating, taxpayer money–consuming, and low-IQ-driven as student politics.

Read this absolute horror story:

In June 2017, a minor girl accused Unnao BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar of rape, but the police refused to register an FIR. After months of inaction, in April 2018, the girl attempted suicide by self-immolation outside the CM’s residence, which finally forced the authorities to file the FIR.

Meanwhile, her father was arrested on false charges and reportedly assaulted in police custody; he later died in hospital due to his injuries. Public outrage followed. Even before any proper investigation had begun, a key witness in this mysterious custodial death was also found dead.

The case was eventually transferred to the CBI. The CBI concluded that the girl’s father died due to injuries inflicted in custody and that the assault was connected to an attempt to pressure and intimidate the victim’s family.

In July 2019, while the victim was travelling to court with her two aunts and lawyer, their car was hit by a truck, killing both her aunts and leaving the victim and the lawyer critically injured, an incident later treated as a deliberate attempt to silence witnesses.

In December 2019, Sengar was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment, but by then the victim’s family had already paid an irreparable price. The Unnao rape case had all the elements of an 80s–90s Bollywood villain plot: systemic intimidation, blatant abuse of power, and a trail of destruction that went far beyond the crime itself. But worse was still to come.

Yesterday, the Delhi High Court suspended the jail term and granted bail to Sengar. This is nothing but salt rubbed into the wounds of whatever little the victim’s family has left. An absolute disgrace. After everything they endured, this feels like the system mocking them. Shameful beyond words, and everyone should raise their voice against this.

Sohan, a Class 12 student, was travelling by bus to visit relatives when it was abruptly stopped near Malhargarh (MP). A few men, later identified as cops, boarded the bus and dragged him off in full public view.

There was no explanation, no warrant, and no prior FIR. He was picked up merely on suspicion of carrying drugs, despite being arrested completely empty-handed.

When the police realised no drugs had been recovered, they chose not to let their “seamless operation” go to waste. They planted 2.7 kg of opium, said to be seized in another case, on Sohan, registered an FIR showing recovery from him, and told the media they had busted a major narcotics syndicate. He was then produced in court and sent to jail.

What they failed to anticipate was that the bus had CCTV, which clearly showed Sohan being taken away empty-handed, pointing to planted evidence. When the video went viral, the police initially denied that the men were cops, only worsening their position.

The case reached the High Court, which summoned the SP. The SP admitted that Malhargarh police acted illegally and outside the law, apologised, and ordered a departmental inquiry against the officers involved. Sohan was released after two months of illegal detention.

Ironically, Malhargarh police station had been awarded as one of the best in the country by the Home Minister. If this is how the “best” station works, one can only imagine the rest. It is frightening how easily the police can ruin a life in this country. Without CCTV, Sohan’s life would have been destroyed forever.

Arnav Khaire, 19, was a first-year science student at Kelkar College, Mulund.

According to his father, he was travelling to college in a local train when a minor argument with a few passengers escalated into language chauvinism. They assaulted him for speaking in Hindi, an unexpected and deeply jarring experience for a teenager who had never faced such aggression.

The suddenness of the attack, the humiliation, and the fear of being targeted for something as basic as language created an intense psychological shock. Overwhelmed, Arnav got off at Thane, took another, and went home. Even hours later, he remained visibly distressed. He told his father he was scared, uneasy, and experiencing intense anxiety, classic signs of acute stress after a traumatic event.

Despite his father’s reassurance, the emotional aftermath was too heavy. Arnav couldn’t process the sudden psychological blow and died by suicide.

Now Arnav will never speak Hindi again. I hope that makes those chauvinists feel satisfied.

What Rohit Arya did by taking students hostage must be condemned however questions need to be asked of the state government.
As per information available Rohit Arya had served as Project Director for Project Let's Change - PLA Swachhata Monitor, which the state government's Primary Education department adopted in 2022 under the Majhi Shala, Sundar Shala initiative.
However he had unpaid dues for several months that were held up by the state government. Arya staged multiple protests in Nagpur, including at Azad Maidan and outside the minister's residence, seeking funds due to him.
He went on a hunger strike to highlight his plight and then was forced to take the wrong step of taking students hostage.
The man fighting for his dues is dead- killed by the state government’s lack of empathy and a bullet of the state.
His death is yet another reminder that if corruption doesn’t kill you, then the state government making you run for your own money will.

A contractor took a loan with heavy interest to finish an Education Department project. Even after completing it, his payment was stuck for three years. He met Minister Deepak Kesarkar and Commissioner Suraj Mandhare both known for power and influence followed every protocol, but nothing changed.

Pushed to his limits, he started protesting and even went on a hunger strike, but his voice went unheard. In complete frustration, he ended up taking 17 children hostage, thinking that might finally force the system to notice him.

The authorities labeled him mentally unstable. The police shot him, the kids were rescued, and the story was over.

And tonight, those in power will sleep peacefully because the man who kept asking for justice has been silenced forever.

The cruel part is how fragile private sector “stability” is. You get a job, start earning, feel settled, plan a future, buy a house on EMI, and one fine morning the company decides to “downsize”. Suddenly, you’re jobless. If a new job doesn’t come quickly, those EMIs can destroy your peace and your life.

And the govt! While you earn, you must pay taxes. The moment you lose your job, you’re on your own. Farmers get compensation when crops fail, despite many paying zero income tax, but a taxpayer losing his job gets practically nothing.

Maybe it's time to introduce reforms like make EMI pauses for few months more liberal for those who lose their jobs, and providing a time-bound monthly allowance for few months from the govt, except for disciplinary cases of course. Ladla/Ladlis can get free money, free ration, free water and electricity, so why not support a worker who has been paying taxes and contributing?

The village pradhan wrote to MPs, MLAs, and ministers, but no one listened. Then the newly appointed IAS officer Divya Mittal promised to help and brought tap water to the village.

For the Jal Pujan ceremony, she did not invite the local MLA. The MLA then wrote a letter to the CM, and IAS Divya Mittal was transferred.
