CPWY participated in the recent Five Lane Ends PCN Engagement Event. The event saw around 80 attendees from the four PCN practices in the area, and was a really successful opportunity to establish relationships with GPs! 👏 👇

#LFC makeshift eleven were great 👏🏼👏🏼
Should have won on balance. That was a penalty at the end for the high foot challenge. Anywhere else on the pitch and it would have got a free kick all day long.
Up the reds #YNWA#LIVMCI
@Chamoissiere The system is broken. Most CPs voluntarily do what we can & would do even more if not for funding cuts that have decimated staffing. We just don’t have the time nor funded by NHS to look for & recommend alternatives. Contractually we could just send patient back with the script.
Manchester City are Premier League champions for the fifth time in six years. But questions remain about how the club does business. 6 mins on the reasons why. Produced by Michael Cox, Floyd Cush, Mary Fuller. https://t.co/wPvqvsOcCN
Leopold of Belgium ruled Congo as his private property for 23 years. He cut off the limbs of Congolese who did not meet their daily quota on the plantation. At the end of his rule, he had killed 15million Congolese people. But we are taught only about Hitler.
Woman seeking asylum was being interviewed by Home Office about her claim with her child present
She was asked “who is the father?”
She refused to answer as child was born of rape & didn’t know
She was threatened with refusal of her claim until others stepped in
Makes me ashamed
@dervisgurol@Richard_GP@Cleverestcookie@NHSuk@DHSCgovuk Even for “vulnerable” patients the emphasis should not be shifted on to pharmacies to order their scripts. If they want to do so out of goodwill that’s up to them. Under NHS terms the ordering of scripts is a matter between the patient and GP practice.
@Richard_GP@dervisgurol@Cleverestcookie@NHSuk@DHSCgovuk Where I work pharmacies stopped ordering for patients 4 years ago but patients are still telling me “I don’t want XYZ, I didn’t order it”. And this was also the case many years ago; long before pharmacies were ordering on behalf of patients.
@CSDon73 I often ask the same question about GP CPCS or the PQS referrals I’m making. I guess in the end it’s because all of us in the NHS are working under extremely challenging conditions in our own different ways.
@BenAllenGP TBH the cause of greater stress & abuse from patients is when they’re told it’s “sent” or “I’m doing it straight away” but in actual fact the script hasn’t been signed off. It’s in draft form on the surgery PC or queued in a virtual basket for bulk signing later, but not sent.
#Qatar2022 spectacular & unforgettable #FIFAWorldCup tournament. Stunning stadiums. Well organised. Safe, friendly, carnival atmosphere in the streets. Fan camaraderie. Entertaining football. Upsets and surprise results. Amazing final; the greatest. Crowning off #Messi𓃵 career.
It’s a week now since @SteveBarclay told the nation there is no shortage of antibiotics. So where are they? They’re still not on pharmacy shelves. Why are worried parents phoning around (and travelling many miles) to see where they can have an antibiotic prescription dispensed?
