📢 A Humble Request to Our Hon’ble Leaders: Let’s Make Work-Life Balance a Policy, Not a Privilege 🙏
@PMOIndia@LabourMinistry@byadavbjp@MoHFW_INDIA@socialepfo@PIB_India
Respected Authorities,
With utmost respect and hope, I write this message as a common working professional—one among millions in our great nation who are striving to balance performance and personal well-being every single day.
In today’s fast-paced world, where digital boundaries have blurred personal time and professional space, the need for a structured Work-Life Balance Policy has become more important than ever.
🧠 Mental health matters.
❤️ Family time matters.
💼 And yet, so does productivity.
But a healthy work culture isn’t just a company’s internal decision—it should be a collective national mindset, driven by guiding policies and legislative support from our respected government.
I humbly urge our lawmakers and respected ministries to consider:
🌿 Introducing a national guideline on Work-Life Balance
🔌 Mandating “Right to Disconnect” after work hours
🛌 Encouraging mandatory paid mental health days
🏠 Promoting flexible and hybrid work environments
🔥 Recognizing burnout as a real occupational risk
🇮🇳 A progressive India must not only chase economic goals but also lead in compassionate corporate governance that nurtures both minds and hearts.
Let’s create a workforce that is not just successful, but also emotionally safe and mentally healthy. This isn’t a complaint. It’s a respectful appeal for a better tomorrow.
With folded hands and sincere hope,
Sujoy Dey

URGENT REQUEST FOR INTERVENTION – @RailMinIndia@RailwaySeva@serailwaykol@EasternRailway
We had a long-planned family pilgrimage to Puri today for Darshan of Lord Jagannath. Our confirmed journey by Train 12277 was originally planned from Howrah, but we have now been informed that boarding will be permitted only from Kharagpur, with departure currently scheduled at 16:00 hrs.
The situation has become extremely difficult because members of our group are travelling from Guwahati to Howrah by Train 12346 – Saraighat Express, which was scheduled to reach Howrah at around 05:20 hrs. The train has been severely delayed/diverted and they have still not reached Howrah.
We had deliberately planned nearly 9 hours of buffer time between their scheduled arrival at Howrah and our onward journey. This is therefore not a case of passengers failing to plan adequately.
Now, because Train 12277 is being boarded from Kharagpur instead of Howrah, we have to arrange a private vehicle from Howrah to Kharagpur at our own additional expense, as no alternative transfer arrangement has been provided to us.
Our sincere and urgent request to @RailMinIndia@RailwaySeva@serailwaykol@EasternRailway and the concerned Railway Control authorities is:
Please consider regulating/delaying Train 12277 at Kharagpur beyond 16:00 hrs, subject to operational and safety feasibility, so that we have a reasonable opportunity to reach Kharagpur and board the train.
We are not asking for preferential treatment. We are making every possible arrangement ourselves. We are simply requesting a fair and compassionate solution when multiple railway operational disruptions on the same day are affecting a confirmed journey entirely due to circumstances beyond the passengers’ control.
This is not merely another trip for our family. It is a deeply awaited pilgrimage to Lord Jagannath at Puri, planned with immense faith and emotion. It would be heartbreaking to reach Kharagpur after overcoming all these disruptions only to find that the train has departed minutes earlier.
Please intervene urgently and coordinate with Kharagpur Division/Control. Every hour is critical now.

Delayed incoming train: 12346 Saraighat Express
Kindly provide an urgent response/action update.

Urgent: Train 12346 Saraighat Express is shown as 1 minute late on one app and nearly 1 hour late on another. It has also been diverted between New Farakka and Liluah, with several stops cancelled without any timely alert. Please confirm the exact delay and ETA at Howrah as we have a connecting train to catch.

@ChatGPT Seeing a 404 on ChatGPT today reminded me how much AI has become part of our daily lives. 🤖❤️ Tech isn't perfect, but it's amazing how much we miss it when it's gone for a moment. #ChatGPT#AIInnovation#Tech
We are not seeking cancellation or TDR. The passengers will undertake the journey from Kharagpur. Our grievance is specifically regarding the additional Howrah/Kolkata–Kharagpur transportation cost arising solely because Train 12277 has been short-originated from Kharagpur after booking.
@RailwaySeva@RailMinIndia
PNR: 6108330839 | Train No. 12277 | Journey: Howrah–Puri | 04.09.2026 | 5 passengers
Due to the operational change communicated for our train, we now have to make separate arrangements at our own expense to reach Kharagpur with luggage in order to board the train, resulting in substantial additional expenditure.
Request your urgent assistance regarding this additional financial burden and kindly confirm that all 5 passengers can board Train No. 12277 from Kharagpur against the existing PNR without any issue.
Please treat this as an assistance request only. We intend to undertake the journey as scheduled.
@RailwaySeva@drmhowrah@kgprail Thank you for your response. I have shared my contact number over DM as requested. For your ready reference, my reachable mobile number is +919126020690 . Kindly arrange the necessary assistance and confirm boarding from Kharagpur at the earliest.

This is safer and more professional for a public escalation.
A serious concern that deserves the attention of @RailMinIndia@drm_tsk@AshwiniVaishnaw@RailwaySeva@RailNf regarding Train No. 15904 (CDG–DBRG Express).
PNRs: 2460705949 & 2522304248
Two women passengers, including an elderly woman, have had to endure an exceptionally exhausting journey. The train was diverted, route/station information kept changing, Guwahati was earlier shown as cancelled and later appeared again and the train eventually accumulated a delay of around 5 hours.
The numbers alone do not explain the hardship. After spending so many hours on the train, they now have to undertake another several hours of road travel late in the evening/night simply to reach home.
For an elderly passenger, this level of continuous travel is physically exhausting. For two women travelling onward at night because their original travel plan has been disrupted, there is also a genuine issue of safety, reliable transportation and uncertainty.
This is not being raised for blame or compensation. The journey has already happened. The concern is much more fundamental: when major diversions and delays occur, what happens to the elderly passengers and women whose entire onward journey is pushed late into the night?
Operational constraints may be unavoidable. But clear and consistent communication, passenger welfare and consideration for vulnerable travellers should never become secondary.
Behind every train number and every PNR are real people—not just statistics on a railway tracker.
I hope the concerned authorities across Indian Railways take note of the human impact of situations like this. 🙏

@RailwaySeva@Drm_tsk The issue is still not resolved despite the earlier escalation. The passenger is currently onboard Train No. 15904, Coach A1, Berth 47 (2A) and no effective assistance has been provided so far.
This is a live onboard grievance involving poor coach cleanliness, an unhygienic washbasin and an unacceptable bed-roll/pillow issue. Contact details have already been shared via DM as requested.
Kindly do not merely forward the complaint further. Please arrange immediate onboard intervention and actual resolution while the passenger is still travelling and confirm the action taken.

URGENT ONBOARD SERVICE COMPLAINT – IMMEDIATE INTERVENTION REQUESTED
Train No. 15904 (CDG–DBRG Express)
PNR: 2522304248
Class: 2A | Coach: A1 | Berth: 47
An elderly woman passenger is currently travelling in Coach A1 and is facing a very disappointing onboard service experience.
The coach is not being maintained in a clean condition and the pillow provided to her is of very poor quality and uncomfortable to use. She made a simple and reasonable request to the onboard attendant for a replacement pillow. Instead of assisting her, the request was refused and she was informed that she would have to use the pillow already provided.
This is a long-distance journey in 2AC, for which passengers pay a substantial fare with a legitimate expectation of basic cleanliness, usable bedding and appropriate onboard assistance. The passenger is not seeking any special treatment—she is merely requesting a clean replacement pillow and basic assistance from the responsible onboard staff.
It is particularly concerning that an elderly woman passenger should have to repeatedly seek help for such a basic requirement while already travelling onboard.
Requesting IMMEDIATE intervention from the concerned Railway authorities. Kindly contact the responsible onboard staff/TTE, arrange a clean replacement pillow immediately, have the cleanliness issue in Coach A1 attended to and ensure appropriate assistance for the passenger during the remainder of her journey.
The passenger is CURRENTLY ONBOARD, so a resolution after completion of the journey would defeat the purpose of this complaint. Kindly have the matter attended to on priority and confirm the action taken.

@IndiGo6E Thank you, but this again explains the baggage policy rather than addressing the actual grievance.
The passenger specifically asked for the baggage weight and calculation BEFORE paying INR 8,000, but this was not clearly explained at the counter.
I am therefore requesting a clear resolution: please reconsider the matter and approve an appropriate PARTIAL REFUND / GOODWILL REFUND from the INR 8,000 collected.
If IndiGo maintains that the full charge was applicable, a reasonable partial refund would still be a fair and customer-centric resolution considering the circumstances at the counter.
Please escalate this to a senior official authorised to take a refund decision and provide a specific response on the REFUND REQUEST, rather than another explanation of the baggage policy.
AirSewa Grievance: LM849902 | PNR: WBFVYZ
@IndiGo6E I look forward to a fair monetary resolution and amicable closure.
@IndiGo6E This matter now requires URGENT SENIOR-LEVEL ESCALATION.
AirSewa Grievance: LM849902
PNR: WBFVYZ
Flight: 6E895 | Kolkata–Patna
Date of Travel: 07 August 2026
Passenger: Ms. Anamika Singh
INR 8,000 was collected from the passenger towards excess baggage charges.
To be absolutely clear, this grievance is NOT merely about IndiGo’s published excess-baggage tariff. The serious concern is the lack of transparency at the point of collection and the manner in which the passenger was handled at the check-in counter.
Before making the payment, Ms. Singh specifically asked the concerned staff to explain:
• the actual baggage weight recorded;
• the number of kilograms being treated as excess; and
• how the amount of INR 8,000 had been calculated.
These are basic and entirely reasonable questions when a passenger is suddenly being asked to pay a substantial additional amount immediately before departure.
However, as already detailed in our formal grievance, the requested clarification was not provided to her at the counter before payment was collected. With the flight departure approaching, she was placed under significant pressure and had little practical choice but to make the payment and continue her journey.
The fundamental question therefore remains:
WHY was the calculation not clearly explained to the passenger BEFORE INR 8,000 was collected, despite her specifically asking for it?
Even the airport receipt issued for INR 8,000 does not specify the actual baggage weight, excess kilograms, rate per kilogram or detailed computation.
The unexpected INR 8,000 expenditure also materially affected the funds immediately available to the passenger during her ongoing journey and onward travel.
A detailed written escalation has already been sent requesting:
A senior-level internal investigation into the entire check-in-counter interaction.
Verification of the relevant baggage/check-in records and CCTV footage, if available.
Review of the conduct and response of the concerned ground staff when the passenger sought clarification.
Reconsideration of the INR 8,000 charge from the perspective of transparency and informed passenger choice.
Appropriate refund/partial refund, adjustment or reasonable goodwill compensation considering the circumstances.
Despite the detailed escalation, till now there has been NO PHONE CALL and NO substantive response from IndiGo addressing these specific concerns.
@IndiGo6E I therefore request that this matter be escalated immediately to the HIGHEST APPROPRIATE LEVEL within your Customer Experience / Grievance Redressal hierarchy, including the concerned senior management, Nodal Officer and Appellate Authority, as applicable.
I also request @AirSewa_MoCA / the concerned aviation grievance authorities to take note of AirSewa Grievance LM849902 and ensure that the grievance is not treated as resolved without addressing the actual circumstances at the check-in counter.
The issue requiring investigation is what happened BEFORE the payment was collected.
We are NOT disputing an airline’s legitimate right to levy applicable excess-baggage charges.
We are asking a very fundamental question of passenger rights and customer service:
If a passenger specifically asks how an additional INR 8,000 charge has been calculated, shouldn’t that information be transparently provided BEFORE taking the money?
IndiGo, please arrange an urgent call from an appropriately senior official, conduct an objective investigation and provide a reasoned resolution rather than a generic response.
We continue to prefer an amicable resolution directly with IndiGo. However, considering the absence of any meaningful response or even a call till now, the matter now requires immediate intervention at the highest appropriate grievance-redressal level.
