One discovery that changed my life this year (from @hubermanlab): taking 750mg Myo-Inositol once every three nights significantly improved my sleep! My average sleep score on Inositol was about 5 points higher than without, and subjectively I feel better rested.

Turns out she was testing the lemon water with pH strips and the strips showed that the lemon water was alkaline. Why? We were using an alkalizer filter machine for the drinking water in our home!

Mom always tells me to drink more lemon mixed with water because it’s alkaline.

She has maintained this position for years. Finding it absurd, I kind of ignored it. It was only recently that we found out why.

@ziding Re: sleep tech I’ve tried some of the older versions using the Apple Watch and I have the gen3 ring now with some custom scripts which run to export and process the data from their cloud API.

found out about standalone programmable keypads (aka macro pads) recently. This one has a screen and is fully programmable in python, which allowed me to make a “better” version of the Mac TouchBar:

@ziding right now I use it mainly for starting and stopping pomodoro timers. I usually forget to start the timer when I work so this makes it a lot easier.
