On Tuesday in Enugu,. . . . . What started as a courtesy visit by the Director-General of @ICRCNG, Dr. Jobson Oseodion Ewalefoh (@JOBSON_EWALEFOH), to the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah (@PNMbah), quickly became a compelling history and investment pitch on Enugu’s heritage, unity and economic potential.

After their private meeting, Governor Mbah took the DG and his delegation through Enugu’s economic history and inclusive character, highlighting the coal discovery era and the state’s long-standing reputation for unity, hospitality and peaceful coexistence.

He also spoke on the Enugu International Airport concession, projecting it as a future international aviation hub that will strengthen regional and global connectivity for the Southeast and beyond.

In response, the DG commended the Governor’s leadership, noting that the Enugu Airport has recorded impressive progress within a short time, describing the July target for the commencement of the international wing as commendable.

FG and ICRC are accelerating the Dasin Hausa Dam project, stalled since the 1980s, to finally tackle devastating floods from Cameroon’s Lagdo Dam.

According to the report , ICRC will be partnering with Mainstream Energy and the Ministry of Water Resources to fast-track the Dasin Hausa Dam under a PPP model.

The Dasin Hausa Dam will generate 300MW electricity, irrigate 150,000 hectares in Adamawa, Taraba & Benue, and safeguard billions in properties from annual flooding. This development is more than flood control for the affected areas. This is renewed hope for communities along Taraba, Adamawa, Niger, and Benue basins!
