We are extremely grateful for our Awards Sponsor this year: ‘The University of Edinburgh and Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh MSc in Critical Care’. As well as offering the traditional MSc in Critical Care, they have recently introduced new Postgraduate Professional Development (PPD) courses – stand-alone MSc-level courses that can be taken flexibly and can count towards a full MSc, Diploma, or Certificate. There are 16 courses eg ‘Perioperative Critical Care’, ‘Leading Change in the Acute Healthcare setting’, ‘Maternal critical care’: https://t.co/s4poNZlLCT
🧵/ The government doesn’t want you to know it, but it is currently conducting a massive, un-evidenced, cost-cutting experiment in the NHS, replacing doctors with so-called physician associates. 1/n

Tomorrow, a crucial piece of legislation around healthcare will be scrutinised by MPs.
It will happen in a committee room, away from the main chambers, on a whisper.
If it passes, it will worsen the health of the UK population.
Did you know about it? No?
A thread 🧵

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Real-terms pay in the NHS has been BRUTALLY cut, the whole of the economy, not so much.
The NHS is broken. The NHS *is* its staff. We need to #FixPay to fix #Retention. #PayRestoration is not "unreasonable", 👇is unreasonable.
RT for #PayRestoration
18/ However much gvmnt try to equate all the pay disputes in the NHS as being equal, they are not. Gvmnt need to act urgently to #FixPay and restore the DDRB to its original principles to ensure we dont return ro this mess again
RT if you want @Jeremy_Hunt@SteveBarclay to act
