Among all the taxes I pay the most annoying one is streetlights levy. I pay this every month but there are no streetlights in my area. What that means is that we correct taxes but not for the reasons behind them.

The tax regime in Ghana 🇬🇭 is just broad daylight robbery. Check the scenario
1. My salary is taxed before paid into my bank account
2. I am taxed when transferring money as stipend to my son in school
3. At the supermarket, taxes are on all items purchased, taxed when paying/2

Those of us in the formal sector are paying too much taxes.
4. So far as I continue to do transactions directly from my bank account, I will continue paying e-levy on all taxed items.
5. It means that when you receive your pay, withdraw and keep cash for all your transactions/3
