@GrenadeLegs @TizzyEnt That really shouldn't be necessary with the VA. They have a robust electronic health record system. Providers should be able to review previous notes and evaluations. Unfortunately, recounting trauma is usually part of the trauma-based treatment.

Here's a rare picture of me. And my mom. She died of colon cancer in 2010 and I miss her every day. No one was more proud and supportive. She's one of the few people to show me unconditional love. Happy Mother's Day wherever or whoever you are, emae.

@Theholisticpsyc I waited 12 years to celebrate mother's day. Our daughter was born 2 years after my mom's death. The day has been tainted by grief the entire time I've been a mom. My family appreciates me and they treat me like a queen.... For that day. Then I'm back to doing everything myself.

@heykvb @TizzyEnt They honestly feel that they are doing the world a favor. They believe the world is being destroyed by minorities. So if you eliminate all the minorities, you're only left with the "superior" humans, which will save mankind. 🤷‍♀️

@KarenKettner @AdamParkhomenko I used to see teens for counseling. I used CBT for mass shooting anxiety many years ago. "Your risk is so low. Let's challenge these fear-based thoughts." Now it's, "If it happens, feeling confident in your plan may help." I can no longer tell them their fear is irrational.

@lisettevoytko @oneunderscore__ @brianstelter Technically, according to the DSM-5, you can't have PTSD due to "exposure through electronic media, television, movies, or pictures, unless this exposure is work related." Social media exposure is a new potential trauma-based disorder that needs to be recognized.
