This is a government that as we suspected wants to protect certain perpetrators & won't listen to victims' lived experience

Unmeasurable Consequences: It's impossible to metric the full impact. Someone hearing it could internalise this hate, leading to a lifetime of self-loathing or fear. Or it could embolden hateful actions against LGBTQ+ individuals that may never be traced back to this comment.
