@Legacian I thought US courts have done a pretty good job protecting speech for Americans. At least to the point of someone else’s equal liberty. I understand the name calling sucks but isn’t all it is? How do you know these are there genuine views?
@Legacian I’m genuinely not trying to disagree with your points, but seems that there are meaningful liberty questions at issue and functioning avenues for redress as you noted. My guess is that people who voted conservative just see things differently.
@Legacian Honestly I think things would probably be a lot easier if they were that straightforward. But I don’t think they are. Surely some of those issues are ones where reasonable people could reasonably disagree, right?
@AdamKinzinger@johnkonrad This is a crazy way to spend your time as an adult. I honestly don’t even see what your point is. Crying like a baby on twitter
@Legacian@HackingButLegal Still your parents. Changed your diapers. Fed and clothed. Maybe what they cared about was you and their hearts didn’t bleed for others the way yours does. It’s okay to have different views than your kids.
@VicanGold@realEstateTrent If you want to project this argument across the population of summer camps that’s your prerogative I suppose. Not sure what you mean in 5% either. 5% of what? why higher now
@UnpopularO41346@IlliniProgrammr@johnkonrad I’m saying that as an explanation it doesn’t really explain anything. You can’t honestly think that the trade war was brought about because he wanted to like “own” the libs or Canada. There are real business reasons at play (see China tariffs)
@UnpopularO41346@IlliniProgrammr@johnkonrad Well I think that it is the goal of all recent presidents to secure the US energy apparatus. Saying he “wants to be remembered with great presidents” doesn’t strike me as being explanatory or compelling as an argument when speculating on motive
