Rapes and heinous crimes against women won't reduce if you hang rapists.

They will reduce when you jail eve teasers and sexual harassers. They will reduce when you prosecute and punish every crime against women.

You really think rape is the FIRST crime any man commits against a woman? No.

And even more important than all this, as countless women have pointed out, you have to raise your sons better.

When you raise them with the entitlement and belief that they are better than their sisters (as quite a few of my friends were raised, and I come from the most progressive community in India),

when they daily see their father acting superior and dominating their mothers (as every father does in India, including mine),

then you are seeding their minds that men are superior to women.

That's how you raise shitty men at best and rapists at worst.
