@saintmaximum1@DominicRaab One of the reasons for a knockback was that when he was 16, he ran away from the police. Another was to strengthen family ties....he is a 6-hour round trip away, in his 5th year away from home, so I'm not sure how missing more years of our kids' lives will strengthen it.
Yesterday we found out my OH move to dcat was rejected by @DominicRaab and today we have the news he has rejected the jsc recommendations for ipps. We have to wait 15 months now to sit a new parole board, it's devastating the wasted years of our lifes with this inhumane sentence
@mrsmvasco@DominicRaab Honestly tye last 6 months have been the worst for us, the bickering and arguing because we are both so stressed and mentally workout from it all. Hope your visit went well xx
@mrsmvasco@DominicRaab It's honestly just a kick in the teeth, just when I think it couldn't get worse, it does. @DominicRaab saying how it's easier to get out at parole when infact he has made it harder, no progression to dcat, no progression to family life, just dread what's to come
@Sunshine82026@DominicRaab Completely agree they have no idea the damage this sentence affects our lives. Thank you for your kind words and hopefully one day this sentence won't ruin so many lifes
@RealInjustices@DominicRaab Just feel so sorry for our children, how are we meant to explain this sentence if the government are meant to be the "good guys" and prisoners the "bad guys" when in this instance that definitely isn't the case. A generation of children without a parent due to this sentence π
@RealInjustices@DominicRaab He has been told he now needs to wait 15 months to sit another parole board, he is currently a 6hr round trip away so fingers crossed he could hopefully move closer to home before his parole hold kicks in. Hopefully next week you get some good news and can leave this mess behind
@RealInjustices@DominicRaab Really hope things are different for you and your partner and by the time your answer comes @DominicRaab is out because he really isn't the right man for the job. When was your partners parole?
@Hopeand41677319@DominicRaab Thank you so much for your kind words. @DominicRaab has clearly no humanity in him because anyone with sense can see the injustice within this sentence
@paddywack1981@DominicRaab Well their moto is " if in doubt, don't let them out" and they have shown they stand by that. Hopefully one day this mess will come to an end
The use of open prisons, which can play a crucial role in supporting people to lead positive crime free lives, has been sidelined
In December there were over 600 empty places @DannyShawNews
Where is the evidence that this is the right thing to do?

@moj response to being asked for an update on the ipp report
Completely clear they are not going to do what the justice select committee has recommended by resentencing ipps
@DominicRaab ipps and their families deserve better then this
As January ends, the Government response to the JSC inquiry is yet to appear. This is adding uncertainty & injustice to an already unjust & uncertain sentence. We urge the Government to accept the JSC recommendations, which received wide endorsement, & #resentenceIPPs.
