A year ago, our armed forces displayed unparalleled courage, precision and resolve during #OperationSindoor. They gave a fitting response to those who dared to attack innocent Indians at Pahalgam. The entire nation salutes our forces for their valour.
Operation Sindoor reflected India’s firm response against terrorism and an unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security. It also highlighted the professionalism, preparedness and coordinated strength of our armed forces. At the same time, it showcased the growing jointness among our forces and underlined the strength that India’s quest for self-reliance in the defence sector has brought to our national security.
Today, a year later, we remain as steadfast as ever in our resolve to defeat terrorism and destroy its enabling ecosystem.
My neighbor knocked on my door at 12 midnight to complain that my generator was disturbing her sleep.
I apologized and turned it off immediately.
Not once. Not twice. Multiple times.
Each time, I kept apologizing.
Then last Saturday, her son played music from his new purchase JBL speaker so loud my walls were vibrating.
So I went over and knocked.
She opened the door smiling, like we were friends.
I said, The music is too loud. Can you reduce it?
Her face and mood changed instantly.
She said I was being hostile. She said she's always been a good neighbor to me.
I didn't argue.
I just said, Okay and walked back inside.
Since that day, she stopped greeting me.
Four years of daily greetings. Gone.
All because I asked for the same respect I gave her.
That’s when it hit me: Some people only like you when you’re easy to control.
The moment you set a boundary, you become the problem.
And if asking for basic respect ruins the relationship, maybe it was never respect to begin with.
Have you ever lost someone just because you stopped accepting the bare minimum?
NFU to Armed forces is not a privilege to be granted.
It’s the obligation of the grateful nation to those who get superseded at young age not bcoz of their incompetence but bcoz of lesser vacancies in the higher ranks, unlike other services where literally everyone rises to the highest rank & also get Non Functional Upgrade (NFU).
These young officers are the cutting edge during operations & continue to serve the nation inspite of zero career progression chances, earning gallantry awards, getting wounded or killed in action … it’s their commitment that has to be recognised and honoured.
Let’s not fail our brave uniformed soldiers for a few pennies or some whimsical attitude.
Our Armed forces are the best and they deserve the best 👍

Excellent analysis, every point clarified with logical reasoning.
Grant of NFU is a must for the forces where the bulk of the officers' don't make it to selection grade due to a very steep organisation pyramid.
@Warrior_Mukul and a few like him have been waging a passionate battle in the courts.
NFU Case in Hon'ble Supreme Court: The Case couldn't be taken up yesterday due to paucity of time although the Bench expressed its reluctance to take it up since Hon'ble Justice JK Maheshwari is retiring in June 26 end. However, on our repeated requests, the case has again been listed for today. Likely to be taken up at about 1230h, if all goes well. For kind information please....
*Army Officer Awarded Compensation for Illegal Toll Charge*
HC enforces the law and the rights of Armed Forces
In a significant judgment reinforcing the rights of defence personnel, the High Court,Jaipur has ruled in favor of myself when I was unlawfully charged at a toll plaza despite being exempt under Government of India rules.
This case happened wen I was travelling from jhunjhunu to jaipur alongwith my family! I was compelled to pay toll charges in violation of established exemption norms applicable to serving Army personnel despite showing the I CARD ! I came to know that at this Toll plaza many of our serving soldiers been forced to pay Tolls ,hence, instead of arguing wid these Goons i decided to collect the proofs & filed a case at Jaipur High Court! The matter highlighted serious lapses in compliance by the toll operator and the inconvenience caused to the serving Soldiers!
After examining the facts and submissions, the Hon’ble Court held the toll collection was illegal and unjustified. *Accordingly, with good wishes of u all,the Court directed the concerned party to pay compensation of ₹50,000 to the claimant for the harassment and inconvenience suffered, along with ₹10,000 towards litigation expenses.* ( *which I'll b donating to army fund itself)*
This judgment is being viewed as an important step toward safeguarding the dignity and legal rights of members of the armed forces, while also ensuring greater accountability in toll operations.
This is first time such verdict has come from any High Court!
All are requested for wide publicity of judgement so that our soldiers are not forced for same!
Iam just sharing a short video clip of incident that happened wid me alongwith last page of judgement!
Incase anyone needs complete copy of judgement please do let me know 🙏
Let’s be clear: Smriti Singh received the Kirti Chakra & benefits because the Army’s Next-of-Kin policy makes the spouse the rightful recipient, not deceit, not a scheme.
The in-laws’ media tamasha was unbecoming. The fresh trolling of Capt Anshuman Singh’s young widow is despicable.
STOP IT!
A dessert that looks burnt… but tastes like heaven.
From the streets of Odisha comes a sweet that defies first impressions.
Slightly charred on the outside, yet unbelievably soft within, it has quietly become a favourite across India.
Its magic lies in how it’s made. Slow-baked to perfection, the top layer caramelises into a smoky crust while the inside stays rich, spongy, and melt-in-the-mouth.
What began as a humble local creation is now deeply tied to Odisha’s food identity, especially during festivals and special occasions.
They say once you taste it, you never forget it.
Think you know what this iconic Odia sweet is?

Her name is Smriti Singh.
She met Anshuman on the first day of engineering college. Love at first sight. He got selected to AFMC a month later. They maintained a long distance relationship for 8 years.
They married on February 10 2023.
Two months later he was posted to Siachen.
On the night of July 19 2023 a fire broke out at the ammunition dump where he was stationed. Captain Anshuman Singh ran in to rescue his fellow soldiers. The fire spread to the medical room. He went back in to retrieve life saving medicines.
He did not come back out.
He was 26 years old.
On July 5 2024 Smriti stood at Rashtrapati Bhavan before President Droupadi Murmu. She received the Kirti Chakra. India’s second highest peacetime gallantry award. On her husband’s behalf.
She held back tears. She said this.
I considered myself his top priority. Turns out I was just a little behind India.
India watched and wept.
Then his parents gave interviews.
They said she was married for only five months. That she had no children. That she had walked away with the money. That she should marry their younger son if she wanted to stay in the family.
The internet turned on Smriti overnight.
Gold digger. Opportunist. Not a real wife.
Anshuman had named Smriti as his next of kin in his own will. His legal right. His choice. The Army confirmed this. The pension went to her because he chose her.
She did not speak. She did not retaliate.
She had lost her husband after two months of marriage. She stood alone at Rashtrapati Bhavan. She accepted his medal. She stayed silent when India called her a criminal for it.
She gave India her husband.
India gave her a character assassination.
Her name is Smriti Singh.
Remember it.
Follow for real stories about women India failed.
Disgusting .. if the custodians of the law have such mentality.
It is the responsibility of the police to protect all at all times.
This tweet smells of prejudice and a complexed mentality.
Get well soon sir.
